it didnt insult me (being Irish ive been the brunt of much worse comments) but the way i understand humour is to make people laugh, not to make others feel insulted or unequal - which form what i see is happening a lot lately around here- im sure youll be the first to tell me if you think im worng, like i said its just my opinion

personally coming form a country where bigotry is the first word you learn im just a little ashamed and embarssed to see it on here - at least in ireland there are 2 different things people are interested in - i thought here we were all interested in F1 & not in someones colour, ethnicity or religous beliefs

i am all for a bit of banter and fun but why do some of you have to make it so personal????

I understood it was a joke, but I wouldn't blame our Indian friends if they found that as offensive. Personally, I think it's about time PD and Cav end this before more people takes offense on their remarks. Grow up guys! Cav, I know you meant good at first, but your insistence on bringing all this just one step further as if the destiny of the Universe revolved about your darn thread being closed is kind of irritating. I know you feel hurt, but you should let it go. There is no gestapo here. Your final thread was not closed and many people supported your views. PD recognized his errors and there was a healthy amount of opinions about freedom of speech on which almost everyvody agreed. As for the rest of your demands, no one seems to back you up and we all moved on without problems. Like Mike and I said, you are fighting a one man's crusade now. That does not help. If you wanna go on, suit yourself but you will start sounding more and more like that Bambino guy (whoever he is) than a guy with reasonable arguments.

PD, come on! You have the experience that comes with age (I'm not calling you old...you did!) You should know better than descending to an exchange of personal attacks with a member!!
