Thoughts On The Race - Monaco

Recommended Posts

Yeah this slipped in s.1.21 para 3c of the new regs, along with:

- 10 second stop and go if you fart on the Grid within the 30 seconds prior to the start

- Mandatory Chinese burns for drivers who are overweight

- Standing in the corner of the garage if you are rude to an FIA official wearing the Dunce Helmet (a new introduction in 2008)

- Tyres filled with lime jelly (jel-o for our American viewers) instead of air if you overtake whilst the safety car is out

- Detention with five hookers and lots of ze punishment if you bring the sport into disrepute :D

Now, wouldn't this result in better traction and unfair advantage?

OK, you confused me with this one - a) is that a punishment or reward, b ) is bringing the sport in disrepute a cause or effect of this punishment/reward??? :eusa_think:

frankly, neither have I. Maybe he meant a drive-through which would be about 25 seconds?

Who knows?? What happens if he completed the drive through in 23s, would he have to stop at the end for 2s ?? :eusa_think::lol:

I think maybe the Steward wasn't a Sutil fan :whistling:

It may increase traction, but think of the extra weight :P each tyre could easily hold 60 litres of jelly

And all that jelly to eat at the end - mmmmmmmmm.

Actually, I think the fronts should be filled with jelly and the rears with custard. The c#ckpit could be filled with blancmange...........................ok that lends itself to so many comments

Surely that would make it a trifle sloppy?

It would also be hard to predict mass shift under breaking. Maybe McLaren do need to steal Ferraris weight distribution after all :P

The brakes would feel spongey.

Final thoughts on the Monaco race, it wasn't anywhere near greatness like the one in 1933 witch was the last great/epic Monaco Grand Prix.

The layout of the track, even in the wet, is not conducive to making an epic grand prix with modern cars the way they are, but it was still entertaining. Say DOF, did you watch the 1933 Monaco GP in person because you seem to have a good memory of it?
