SPANISH F1 KING ALONSO CONQUERS THE WORLD

Montoya was very quick all weekend and deserved to win the race.

However, he showed once again that he is not at all a team player. He should have backed Alonso into Raikkonen and then, if the possibility arose, let Raikkonen pass him so that he could play rear gunner and hurt Alonso. Instead he showed no sign of ever helping his team-mate and tried to win the race without hesitation. Sometimes I wonder whether JPM is a McLaren driver or a Renault driver! Let

rubbish. he has done his bit this year. the title was gone anyway, why should he go and gift KR another win. KR stuffed up, his fault.

Does this mean you endorse the use of team orders in F1?

I knew one would find fault in JPM's drive. Fact is that as long as Alonso finished third he was World Champion, nothing JPM could do about that.

Please tell me you're joking. Even if jpm had backed kimi up, alonso still would have come 3rd. turkey - wasnt his fault, spa - wasnt his fault (you know that! pizzonia rammed him!), hockenheim, yea he spun in quali - then charged through to finish 2nd or 3rd. If anyone's been helping renault its the people who are responsible for those mercedes engines reliability

Extremely well said  .

JPM did not help Kimi once this season and had a perfect opportunity to help his team-mate at Brazil but did nothing ergo he is not a team player, this is undeniable.

Monty clearly handed Kimi victory in Spa!

There was no point what so ever of Kimi beating Monty as long as Alonso was in third in Brazil!

I would like to explain my reasoning further because a few simpletons are confused. Kimi lost the title because of McLaren

If mclaren had done that, they would be heavily criticised for taking the win away of the superior driver on the day (JPM), simply to keep kimi's title hope alive, even though it still would have been wildly unrealistic that kimi would win the title. Maybe if alonso dropped out of the race they may have done it, but even in that situation it would be strange considering the big gap between kimi & alonso. Remember jpm just does what he's told by the team, you can't expect him to always make sure he's behind kimi each race, and to be honest I can't recall any race where he could have moved over or anything like that to help kimi (except maybe spa)

Well then, im talking about your quote "JPM did not help Kimi once this season" :nono1:

You object? Point to an instance, just one, where JPM actively helped Kimi this year by doing something other than maximising his own success. If you can

In my opinion, and you are of course free to disagree with me, McLaren should have used JPM to help Kimi, even though the Columbian was better on the day and even considering Kimi

But senna when has jpm ever been in a position to help kimi by sacrificing his own result? Never!

We have already discussed this in previous weeks, Montoya clearly slowed so that Kimi could catch him in Spa. But what ever, who cares now, coz Alonso is Number 1 :)

Yes Alonso is No.1 but you have inauspiciously failed to point to a single clear instance so it proves that all the criticism I suffered above was totally unjustified.
