He Is Faster Than Raikkonen And Alonso

Recommended Posts

I dont understand how you can say he dominated the championship. Whilst he won mal, fra, bah and china fair and square, his other wins were gifts from mclaren retirements/mistakes. Even races he didnt win he was placed higher than he deserved to be due to mclaren faults, like europe, germany, turkey, imola. Champ'ship domination is m schumacher 2001,2002,2004. m schumacher won all his races fair and square in those years and no-one came close!! But in 2005 the ch'ship should've been a lot closer had the mclaren not broken so often. The majority of f1 racing readers agree with me, that mag goes out to about 40 different countries so dont say its anything to do with being british!!

He dominated it by forcing Mclaren to take more and more risks leading to failures you could say. The pressure was far bigger on Mclaren drivers due to fact he had accumulated such long lead and could keep reduction of it minimal.

Thats complete rubbish! The mercedes was unreliable, its nothing to do with alonso forcing mclaren to do anything!! Thats almost as stupid as what foxtrot and wez were saying a couple of months ago when they were saying it was kimi's fault for driving too fast!!

right! and compare to your logic, we are oasis of knowledge!

Kimi was pressured, as both him and MClaren were playing the catch up game. That meant taking risks, and that meant mistakes were made by both drivers and team (engine).

Remember that Alonso lead was made in the first 4 races of the year.

And what mistakes were these??? Is there evidence to suggest that mclaren turned up the revs, thus causing retirements? And what are kimi's mistakes? The tyre failure at nurburgring? What else? Alonso went off the road at nurburgring and hit the wall at canada - thats 2 mistakes to kimi's 1!!

Renault and FA has played with the advantage in a masterfull fashion. What is complete rubbish is saying that what Fernando and Renault have achieved is down to luck.

indeed

If mclaren've been as reliable as renault this year, Do the math ur self, all those silly valve failure. broken airdeflectors. drain covers, engine failures. u can only say renault were granted the championship. Although there is always 2 sides to a story, but whoeva says or thinks renault deserve to win the championships more than mclaren is highly irrational. I watched every single race live and read all the post race comments form reliable sources. and coming here to hear peeps talk nonsence is disgustin. GO WATCH ALL THE RACES AGAIN AND DECIDE UR SELF. we'll see how renault will fare next year, already they r late delivering their v8 engine. Exactly what happened to BAR this year is what i'm expecting.

quali at brasil and Hockenheim (had montoya not spun) he would have been on pole, kimi's final sector was pathetic, with an opposite lock moment ,and couple of other minor errors

If my memory serves me well, Kimi was leading in germany b4 an engine failure.

Thanks for the clarifcation...ChampCar,Indycar.....Its like Bird Flu or SARS,it should be confined to the country it originated in

JimmyK, I'm not sure how much you know about IndyCar racing, but you've apparently forgotten how JPM and JV made their way to F1. IndyCar has proven to be as suitable a proving ground to prepare for F1 as has F3000, F3, or GP2.

Just as not all who graduate to F1 from the European series are successful, not all who have graduated from IndyCar have succeeded, though clearly some have.

No i havent, mate...They may have raced Indycar, but they raced other formulae which were of much more relevance to F1...Fair enough, its a class of motorsport, I just dont like it being likened to an equivalent to F1 as some of the loud mouth, arrogant, IndyDrivers like to make it out to be...and The examples you have supplied (JPM and JV) are great drivers but have this streak of outspoken-ness that implies their opinions are worth more than other drivers and there annoying "1st to give it out-but last to cop it back" is maybe a result of spending too much time in Speedway...Whoop...ther i go again....Indycar

Realclick2002, although I was also cheering for Kimi to take the title, just building the fastest car or being the fastest driver on its own isn't enough to earn the championship. If it was, they wouldn't bother with these strange competitions called "races", and just hand the titles to McLaren. It's about who can FINISH the races the fastest, on enough occassions to score more points than any of your rivals. You know the old adage, "To finish first, first you must finish".

On that basis (which is afterall how F1 is run), Renault both earned and deserved the title, as did Alonso. No one granted or gifted them the championships, they ran a better team, and fielded a more reliable (and therefore better) car.

Alternatively, if as you say, it is more a matter of McLaren having lost the title, as opposed to Renault have won it, well, that's all part of the sport, and doesn't change the fact that Renault did a better job throughout the year.

Go cry in your soup, next season is another year, and another chance for everyone.

Well, I doubt that JV's time in Italian F3 (where he finished 14th in his first season and 6th the following year), or his single season in Japanese F3 (albeit he did finish runner-up) is what prepared him for the WDC in '97. He did two full seasons in IndyCar and another in Toyota Atlantic before entering F1, and it was during those three years that he proved his mettle and honed the skills that landed him his F1 seat with Williams.

Similarly, JPM did three years of F3 and F3000, and, although he did better than JV, he also did not advance directly to F1, but instead went on to IndyCar and (like JV) won both the CART Title and the Indy 500. Just as with JV, it was the experience with the 800 hp Champcars on road courses and temporary circuits that prepared him for F1.

Having said that, no-one, not I nor any other sensible fan of CART, would ever suggest it is the equal of F1. Far from it, but it is a suitable training ground, and serves as an ideal last rung on the ladder leading to F1.

TAHTS MY POINT EXACTLY,AT A TEAM LIKE MCLAREN U EXPECT the drivers to capitalise on the minor mistakes of their teammates ,not make a bigger mistake and spin

this is where everyone here is so right in their criticism of montoya,if he had been on pole .then kimi woulde have been behind him atleast upto pitstop1,and his tyre wear would have been considerably less, and who knows had montoya been 1st or 2nd when kimi had the tyre prob, ron might have decided to bring him in for a stop(and the difference in pts between kimi and FA would have been less by another 8 pts (assuming here again that jpm did not hit a backmarker and retire) this is jst one of the numerous instances of incompetence from jpm,the same incompetence that cost him and williams the championship in 03

No way McLaren have lost the title... How the hell can a team that never along the season has been leading the WDC standings lost it? As we could see in China Renault has done what they needed to do at each moment, they got it safe when they needed and they took the upper hand at the moment they wanted. Stop walking over spilt milk please -_-

Thats complete nonsense. jpm drove very consistently in 2003, the car didnt deserve to be a championship winner. But jpm kept getting podiums nearly every race. He only lost the title when he came together with barrichello at indy. In Japan the final race, he sped away from the rest of the field and was way out on his own, before his car died. Think of 2003 mistakes by jpm cos I cant think of any
