Senna 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 you do that first I always talk about F1. You never seem to. You continue to post hundreds of irrelevant short posts, not concerning F1. The only posts you make about F1 are the articles you post from other sites, which are of course, not of your own creation. Might I remind you that this is a Formula One forum! Very funny Jay, now your steppin on my Republican toes, George W. Pete Townshend was/is a genius..... Did you hear Pete's latest plea? warning ipod users about hearing loss? His loss of hearing he says now is a result of his use of headphones in studio not the sound at concerts that has been widely reported before......
funkejay 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Very funny Jay, now your steppin on my Republican toes, George W. sorry 'bout that doc - I just couldn't resist having a little fun at his expense...... Did you hear Pete's latest plea? warning ipod users about hearing loss? His loss of hearing he says now is a result of his use of headphones in studio not the sound at concerts that has been widely reported before...... hmmmmm, no I hadn't heard that. Seems to me that being out in front of the self proclaimed "loudest band in the world" might have had something to do with it (like he's been saying for years), but I don't dismiss the danger of high frequency sound emitting directly from inside the ear canal (i.e. ear buds). I use them a lot myself, so it's something to think about I guess.......... I dunno - it might just be something an "expert" told him along the way...... Very funny Jay, now your steppin on my Republican toes, George W. Just as an aside, I was reading something on that incident recently that I thought might interest you, where the author of the article suggested that this wasn't just another typically "garbled" Bushism, but rather, a result of Dubya's self-censorship kicking in at the last moment, at the realization that he was about to say "shame on me", something that politically, he would never acknowledge (i.e. feeling shame, and consequently, fault as well). As a result, they suggested that all the stammering was a result of Dubya stalling to figure out how to salvage his point, and yet remain within his metaphor (in an attempt to avoid looking entirely foolish - though it's arguable that he only made it worse....). I don't know if there's any truth to that (it's just speculation after all), but it's an interesting interpretation of that little gem.

Hi everyone, this is my 1st post on total f1, my prevision for JV's result for this season against Nick H. , JV 12 NICK 7 and I think they 'll be one of the best duo this season for once IF BMW can set the next f1 car specially with horse power and good design I think seriously than NickH. (good driver but nothing more) will be eaten by JV and I mean easily but the future will tell Very funny Jay, now your steppin on my Republican toes, George W. funkejay 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 FOOL FOOL FOOL. HEIDFELD WILL EAT JV ALIVE, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. FOR CHRISTS SAKE, HE WAS BEATEN BY MASSA THIS SEASON. M A S S A HE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kaiser, I know you're having a bit of fun at our expense, but do you really and honestly believe that NH will comprehensively outperform JV this year? I think you're pretty much alone in that regard if you do. Similarly, for those JV fans who think he'll trounce young Nick, they aren't giving Heidfeld nearly the credit he deserves as one of the most significantly under-rated drivers in the field. As I've said elsewhere, this promises to be one of the closest and toughest intra-team battles of the year...... it'll be fun to watch.
Null 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 No, to be honest, I think it will be similar to the MW v NH battle last year. I do, however, think some of you are over-estimating JV
funkejay 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 No, to be honest, I think it will be similar to the MW v NH battle last year. I do, however, think some of you are over-estimating JV I suspected that you were just posturing........ Well, that's a fair comment - JV has struggled at times, and the debate is whether that is a result of some deficiency within him, or a result of factors outside his control. This year will finally put paid to most of that, though it's hard to say. I was hoping that he'd have more support from BMW, if for no other reason than to eliminate any distractions and any subsequent questions over the reasons behind his performance in '06. I guess that time will tell.....
monza gorilla 1 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I really can't separate these two. Jolly Jaques now goes into his second season with Hinwil, settled and comfortable with the way they work. He should be able to concentrate on the job at hand, plus he will adapt very well to the V8 formula, I suspect. On the other hand, Quick Nick also knows the set up at Hinwil very well, so should fit straight in. The question is will he adapt to the V8 as quickly? But as I say, if JV is to lose out in his final year in F1 (which it will be if he doesn't beat Heidfeld), I'd rather it be Nick than anyone else (or maybe Fisi). Null 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I'm pleased that JV stayed at bmw, the nh and jv setup should work well with developing the new car. Then there's the "competitive" factor, they will spur each other on, possibly getting more out of the car than they would with a "lesser" team mate. Overall, I am satisfied with the BMW-Sauber team and it should be a fantastic battle to watch, especially when it comes to qualifying, I would say there is little between them there. NH seems to be able to hold a race together more than JV though, especially on the back of last season. Will be good to watch.
