Heidfeld must feel like the luckiest guy in the world, I bet any F1 driver would LOVE to experience the Nordschleife in their f1 car! Hope we get some decent photos/video

What I'm more concerned about is his top speed on the straight.

Anyway, good to see. Very good. I hope it proves the today's F1 cars can run on that circuit and race on that circuit. I'd even take a non-points end of the year event, sort of like an all-star race or something. Anything to see F1 at the Nordschleife.

6:11.13 was the best time done there since 1983.

Place bets now!

I'd say he'd get around 5:30...i'll got with 5:34

I'll say he will be driving realtively caustiously so 5:40..

Shane would a vid of this be up?

Possibly, it depends if/when/where it is televised

once I get internet back on my main computer I will upload a vid I made from the game rFactor of me driving the Nordschleife in a 2005 Ferrari. Its insane, I filmed it all in c#ckpit so you can see roughly what a driver sees. I did a 6:17 for the video so I think an F1 driver could be very close to the 5:50's

yea, the simulation of BMW sabue f1.06 would be 5:15.80 back in june 2006.

I would imagine that they will drive an F106 anyway.

That would be fairly impressive if he were to do that.

Good for Heidfeld aswell. I'd expect someone like Button to do it normally.

Why would button do it, he doesn't drive for BMW?

I've never heard such an incorrect assumption.

Yeah, but he usually does most of these type things. Appearing in TopGear, Goodwood festival etc. He does a lot of track days and PR sessions in F1 generally.

Wish he did drive for BMW.
