Still worthy of a ride though.

Really? I can think of better drivers that are worthy of a ride. She's talented, but so to was Piquet in GP2. I don't think she's cut out to be an F1 driver.

Looks doesn't earn an F1 drive. Talent does.

I didn't mean that kind of ride. I think she would do pretty badly in F1 too and as far as I can tell she isn't worthy of a seat.

Yup....not until F1 cars come equipped with klaxons to honk her by.

It'll give a whole new meaning to a commentator saying 'Danica blocked Alonso's hot lap, so Alonso has just given her the fist'.

she may be a bitch, but i wouldn't call her "ugly," although if you'd give Nico some make up, it would be a close one. of course, I'm not quite decided if he is actually a man....

Two interesting articles on crash.net as regard to who goes where next season. After my initial sceptism again, i now admit it's likely that Ferdi will go to Ferrari next season.

Okay, seeing as this topic is lacking a bit of chat, a quick summary of the latest rumours:

De La Rosa and Petrov for Campos, to be sponsored by Telefonica and BBVA

Summerton and Wurz for USF1 with Youtube sponsorship (confirmed) and Best Buy.

Rosberg to McLaren.

Nakajima out of a race seat, test driver for Toyota?

Hulkenberg to be at Williams alongside either Nick, Heikki or JV.

Kubi to Renault.

That's all folks......for now.

Ha ha you fancy Nico! smile.gif

Nope, just making a fair comparison. In fact, if I were gay, I'd say Nico would be very near the bottom of the list. Luckily for me and my wife, I'm not. Nico is an attractive man the same way a Barbie doll may be considered an attractive woman - plasticky and phoney.

Actually, the latest rumor has it that Kubica's manager has been talking to Brawn (as unlikely as it sounds). Although Renault seems to be really hot for Kubi, he himself is believed to prefer Williams at this time. To make it more interesting, Toyota is rumored to be very unhappy with Williams and ready to yank the engine-supply contract, and Williams is believed to be talking to Renault to get THEIR engine. In a strange way, it actually would work in Kubica's favor, because Williams could can Kaz and free up the seat for Robert, who has ties with Renault. Of course, the engine situation becomes irrelevant if Rosberg goes to McLaren, which will not happen IF Heikki will actually have a good second half of the year.

(Wow- I actually sound like I know what I'm talking about...)

Just a quote from Ross Brawn in regards to his possible driver line up for the 2010 season and sticking with Rubens and Jenson.

"There is no good reason not to," Brawn said of retaining his drivers. "They are both doing a very good job so I think, after Spa, we will start to look at it. We needed to get a number of things in place before sensibly talking about drivers; the Concorde Agreement is done now - that was done in the (summer) break. We think our commercial side is going to develop well now so we can sit down after Spa, talk with the drivers and sort it out."

I think it would be great if Rubens reached the 300 GP mark, basically Rubens' level of experience is Usain Bolt level, will probably never be beaten!

I think the only thing stopping interest from a Kubica or a Rosberg at Brawn would have been the issue of stability. Kubica is looking for that for obvious reasons based on his recent experience. Rosberg is on the cusp of having categorically demonstrated his worth to all and sundry and is now ready to deliver for a big hitter. (In fact, I think Rosberg's steady rise to top form has been incredibly well managed. His father has no doubt been invaluable, as has his own intelligence and maturity in not trying to run before he can walk. A year ago he may have had his value destroyed by a Hamilton. Now, he looks ready to take him on).

Ross Brawn knows that he can afford to sit back and wait for the Alonso/ Raikkonen/Kubica situation to unfold. If other drivers get panicky and sign in other directions, it doesn't matter too much. Button and Barrichello will do. But drivers will come sniffing around at Brackley and the cool Ross Brawn will be ready to talk, I suspect.
