First Corner At Nurburgring

Recommended Posts

Any takes on who will take the lead and who will follow by the first corner. I guess the order will be as follows:

1. Kimi ( Mclaren's speed off the line are better than Williams)

2. Nick ( will close all doors on Alonso and JPM)

3. Alonso or Juan ( Renaults are pretty qucik, and JPM starting from the cleanside)

5. Trulli ( Will loose out on Alonso & JPM 'cause they are quicker)

6. Webber ( Trulli being his nemesis)

What do you guys think.

Well, that was the order, but webber did not make it out of the first turn

Damn Webber, he screwed his start AGAIN!!!! and causes a pile up. He screwed JV's race over cos JV made a brilliant start, past both BAR's and Liuzzi, and was right with Massa, then he had to avoid all the carnage, making him lose time and resulting in his strategy (heavy fuel, last to stop) going down the drain as he got stuck behind the Jordans

Phew, glad to get that off my chest.

it was actually probably his best start off the line all year... that's how bad his starts are!

webber has more points than fisichella, despite being in clearly an inferior car.  the renault is also arguably the best car on the grid.  the williams?  4th or 5th best car in anyone's most optimistic assessment.

whats wrong always with fisichellas renault

If you have followed MW over his F1 career to date - what he did on Sunday fits his MO. Whether in a Minardi or a BMW, if MW is up front - there is going to be an accident. I was hoping he might horn his skills with a better car but that is looking increasingly unlikely.

It's not all Williams. Mark does his bit too, obviously not as well as Nick.

Williams have admitted it is their own fault and wouldn't do so unless it was true. As I have said in a previous post it can favour one driver more than another like with anything in F1 eg failures.

Otherwise you would expect the drivers to get the same failures in the race and the same amount during a season, but that rarely if ever happens.

The Williams team had only the 5th or 6th fastest car for the first four races - which made the anti-Webber camp's attacks on his absolute performance at the time so ridiculous (notice that they have since eaten s**t on this subject as I predicted - but lately it has been much more competitive.

Indeed and what I don't understand is why they jump on the bashing bandwagon so quickly. Like saying Mark did bad in qualifying, but how would they know on the Saturday as fuel loads had not been revealed yet.

I was on that bandwagon since the start of the year, no jumping on for me, I was in the front seat  If he does well I will acknowledge, as I do his quali performances.

I'm in agreement. As soon as Mark Webber performs well in a race he will have my praise. I as I have said before. I think he is quick but he lacks race skill. Maybe that will come in the latter half of the season.

He screwed a lot of people on the first corner shenanigans, let's hope he does not do it again.

however this may be a good thinbg for him, as yhe may actually go froward in a race instead of backwards!

And rating someone's performance like that is rather..strange. That is like saying at Imola last year Button was s##te.
