Anyone Remember That Jackass Driver Called Webber?

Recommended Posts

Has Jenson saved Webber's Williams career?

Haha. Well it could have almost been some sweet karma. Even better if Webber was dropped and Pizza boy got his place instead. I like pizza, heck everyone loves a good pie, but Pizzonia hasn't impressed me much. I will give him credit for not beating that assclown webber in the head with a baseball bat due to all the slagging off he's done in Pizzonia's direction. Took some restraint from him I think not to get his brazillian hommies to waste him.

Oh well, Pizzonia will be a test driver again or A1GP maybe and Webber will have another year to say "it's a rebuilding year" or whatever while he drives around at the back of the grid just ahead of Midland and Red Bull Minardi.

Indeed, and Frank Williams could do the coup de grace by securing Fisichella in exchange for Webber, a deal Flavio will be only to willing to make, thus getting rid of the other liability for his team.

But Acquiring another  Webber is a decent driver, once he realises that he has to drive fast on Sundays as well as Saturdays, he should be in the running for a few more points.

Sir Frank was initially mightily impressed with Webber, largely because of his (limited) success at Jaguar but I would not be surprised if Sir Frank is now disappointed with Webber because the Australian has arguably been beaten by Nick Heidfeld and neither has been a great success

I'm sure peeps will throw out the stats, but for me NH has owned Webber all up and down the pit lane this year. Why? Because Webber was supposed to be the second coming if you will and Nick was a never has been washed up nobody. Don't you love the press lol? But it didn't turn out that way did it. Who cares what Webber does. He's just another Ralfie boy or Trulli.

Still when Webber signed up for Williams it prob did look good on paper. But be that as it may, he hasn't done a terribly good job in the car. And considering that all too often famous 5th in the Minardi, he's a failure. Hmm, kinda reminds me of Button lol, but at least he's got a bit of talent in the car on race day. He needs to use that talent on picking a good management team cause he sucks a## at reading contracts and so on.

I'm slightly confused. Are you equating Ralf, Webber and Trulli? This seems a strange thing. Also how does someone who "hasn't done a terribly good job in the car" remind you of JB? Finally I for one will wait to see how good NH and MW really are.

no, Irvine nearly becoming WDC in 1999 is a scary thought.

As for this article, this really put a smile on my face. The man who reportedly, alongside Sam Michael, blocked any chance JV had at racing a Williams this year is now being seen for what he is. A one lap wonder who is as overrated as Yoong was rubbish.

Funnily enough, you wouldn't know any of what was written in that article here, cos here the media would have us believe all is well between Webber and the team and that it's all the car's fault that Webber is getting beaten by Nick. Sir Frank has really gone downhill in his driver choices since Button and Montoya. I just hope he doesn't let go of Rosberg, unless he gets a chance at Jacques of course :snigger:

I still question Williams decision to bench Patrick Head and promote Sam Michels to the head technical director. Williams would have us believe it's cause Patrick wants to take a step back and oversee more things or whatever. But Williams choices and descisions have been dodgy at best over the past few years. The walrus nose was a flop for starters. How they treat their drivers is atrocious. How many ex-wdc drivers have they lost? Let's see, Mansell, Damon and JV. Seems most drivers can't wait to get out of that team. What the heck is going on. I would have had alot more respect for Frank if he had enforced Button's contract and kept him on. Then at least we'd know he's serious again in doing well in F1. But as I see it, he's got that assclown Webber trying to run things and this buffoon Sam Michels who thinks he can design a quick car. I think both will be cleaning out their desks very soon and Frank and Patrick will finally get some sense and turn things around.

Didn't PH stepping down have something to do with that idiot Mario Thieeson. I think BMW have been the major factor in the troubles at williams by interfeering with the way they have always worked (Succesfuly) and getting into a situation where by all accounts they are running an engine which although may be powerful but is restricted in the torque output, making the car more difficult to drive.

I have heard that MSR but Williams are still responsible for the car design. I don't like Mario one bit, but he's not to blame for the Walrus nose or other things Williams have done. The BMW engine was a few years the best unit by quite a margin and still Williams was subpar. I'm sure Mario made things difficult for Williams but it's also possible Williams made things as equally nonproductive as well. If Sam Michels was put in his position to appease Mario, then you'd expect Patrick Head to be running things next year right.

They had the best car in 2003 and the best tyres but not the best drivers. In fact, their drivers were very poor. Don't overlook this important fact.

Yes indeed don't overlook that fact about the drivers.....

Ralf is erratic, we've seen that this season too. some days he just makes you wonder what he could have been if he was not so inconsistent.

Indeed it is [cue long intentional thoughtful pause]
