Montoya Quicker Than Kimi Again!

Recommended Posts

if u trust planet-f1's verdict of the 15-4 or watever, why dont u trust the same opinion of planet-f1 that says that he is world championship material for Mclaren?

u either believe it or u dont....ur argument loses its strength when u claim a piece of evidence to be credible and correct, and at another instant, when the same piece of evidence goes against u , u disregard the source.

all I am saying is...if u take planet-f1's assessment of the season as a true and accurate assessment, then this claim by the very same planet-f1 editorial staff must also be true.... so u agree he is WDC material ?? if not.....u say planet-f1's assessment is bulls##t ??

Where did PF1 suggest that Montoya is championship material at McLaren? That is ridiculous for he has gone down 15-4 thus far by their scale. Please show me what you are talking about. By the way, never advise me as to what is compelling and what is not, which arguments are credible and which are not, etc. You are not the arbiter of logic on this forum for you are a mere rookie, a peasant among kings. Your arrogance disgusts me!

planet f1 agrees

Winners

Juan Montoya, McLaren, Winner

Montoya was looking lean at Interlagos and his driving was mean in the race. Unlike Raikkonen his head wasn't propped against the side of the c##kpit in the latter stages of the grand prix.

Usually Raikkonen puts in some stellar laps before his pit-stop and emerges in front of Montoya. Today he was never running close enough to the Colombian to make his fast laps count.

For the McLaren team, it's very good news, because it means that if the Finn were to go to Ferrari (as it's rumoured he might) then they have a driver capable of delivering World Championship winning performances.

there u go bajo

I now go to bed after a hectic day of posting :P will check back on this trow

I am very happy that Mclaren finally scored their well deserved 1-2, also from what I am reading, the race somewhat proved my point that Mclaren has two good drivers.

Obviously I am disappointed that KR didn't win the WDC, but there's still the WCC to look forward to, and I hope KR-JPM duo can provide us with the pre-season anticipated fire-ice clash.

I'm so exhausted these few days, I've been to work experience with biotech researchers trying to absorb info that I didn't understand at all. Since yesterday morning I've been eating/sleeping at every single opportunity I have.

I'm of course very sad having to wake up at 6.45 am during school holiday, and having to miss the Brazilian GP.

I almost fell asleep entering survey data today morning. It was soooo boring, I am NEVER to be a secretary/receptionist! And the scientist made interesting stuff boring.

after seeing ur activity in the forum for the past month or so..this is the kind of behavior I expected from u....

before u edited ur post, u claimed that PF1 never said anything like that and asked for proof...

and after I gave u the proof u edited ur post and u rambled about being advised and tried to deviate from the topic..

u asked for proof...u got it....and that proved u wrong....and now u throw tantrums coz of that ???

I have no respect for the number of posts u may have or may not have....I give respect where it is due....and u have to earn that by engaging in logical debate.....at the moment u dont seem to be doing that....

This is your supposed proof:

"For the McLaren team, it's very good news, because it means that if the Finn were to go to Ferrari (as it's rumoured he might) then they have a driver capable of delivering World Championship winning performances."

But it does not contradict what I said. Montoya is not 'championship material' alongside Kimi at McLaren because he cannot possibly beat Kimi. If Kimi were to be replaced by a substandard driver like Ralf Schumacher and McLaren were to produce a dominant machine, better than the rest of the field by a wide enough margin to make up for the Columbian's deficit of ability relative to the top drivers, then in that scenario Montoya would be 'championship material'. At the moment, he is clearly not for he has gone down to the Finn 15-4 in races (PF1 system), 11-4 in qualifying on generally lighter fuel, and 11-2 on fastest laps and the Finn's performance was not even good enough for the WDC!!!

Obviously too blinded by love for the overrated finn to notice what happened this very weekend...

He was better this weekend as in Italy but that is only two weekends out of seventeen.

BTW I don't like Kimi all that much... He's very quick but he makes mistakes where his Spanish rival does not.

Montoya has never been short of peak pace, it is his inconsistency, errors and general attitude that are lacking, and this season has not done anything to change that. He is far from being world championship material yet. that said there is absolutely no denying that he can match Kimi and beat him on his days.

u never said anything about "alongside kimi"....ur statement was a blunt "he is not WDC material"...now u backtrack and add stuff, and change what you initially claimed

What follows in ur post is purely ur opinion on the matter, and what u "hope" PF1 meant.

Simpleton, he is alongside Kimi now and thus is not WDC material. I didn't need to specify that he was not WDC material alongside Kimi because everyone knows he is partnering Kimi this year! Furthermore, I did not need to specify that he could become WDC material in a dominant machine, alongside a team-mate who would not challenge him, for that is true of any driver and obvious.

:mf_tongue: I disagree - end of discussion!

The difference is that you're wrong though.

Once again, you keep trying to dodge the facts, but sooner or later you have to address them:

Qualy: 11-5 Kimi (Kimi generally on heavier fuel)

Races: 17-4 Kimi (PF1 system)

Fastest Laps: 12-2
