Webber Not Worried

I dont remember BAR saying anything about monaco, I'm just saying jenson is usually very strong at monaco, and the 2005 BAR was best suited to high-downforce tracks (apparently), but hey he was a good commentator, despite calling Raikkonen "Raykonnen"

That is just BAR PR-rubbish, you will recall that at the first race back they also thought they would hunting for a podium only to be completely out of sorts.

I agree with that... the people now in charge of BAR Honda are all talk no action it seems.

I think out of them all, she will be around the longest! No doubt shayne the prick will win, but he will have a couple of number 1's and then dissappear!

I know we're way off topic here, but I was really surprised to see how high she was on the bestsellers list.

My g/f loves them, but that's 'cos she's a girly.

What were we talking about before this? Oh yes, Nick Fry. I see that his talent for ludicrous statements has rubbed off onto BARs chief designer.

lol, i was thinking the very same just the other day as i read an article on itv-f1.com! It's a shame and it's very stupid what the p people in BAR do, they make stupid statements and then put unessesary pressure on the team to do what they say they will do and they just make themselves look like fools!

Yeah, evidently they've cured all the aerodynamic problems now, but the pesky FIA have ruined it all by allowing tyre changes next season.

yeah, but i think the fia were wrong to do this, ive enjoyed the one set of tyres rule, as it requires more from the driver!

Tyre management is sure test of one's racecraft and in keeping with my desire for F1 to be more difficult for the drivers I will be disappointed to see it go.

As to the safety issue, I would rather the FIA introduced a very safe control tyre and eliminated the reckless driving from the sport (through stricter super license testing to prevent those who are incapable of controlled driving, eg Narain, from ever getting into F1 cars and by severely punishing those who choose to be reckless, eg Montoya).

Fair enough, tyre management is a test of racecraft...but the gamble of pit for tyres and chase hard, over conserve the tyre with a calculated fuel load- that to me shows flexibility of strategy, the driver and team can demonstrate many more elements of racecraft within the race.

And as for Webber and Nico, I cant wait for 06! Im an Aussie, and I waited sooo long for an Aussie to be in f1 in a top team, but im not biased either. Webber's mistakes in 05 stemmed from one factor; he was driving his blistered a## off in inferior equipment. Nico may front up and blow him away- but at this stage he is an unknown quantity,as is the cosworth V8.
