ben_3001 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 yes but you must not forget, many on here were sayng that i was wrong predicting a second + gap between bmw and the front running teams, thus my point has now been proved thus those others were wrong! Though it is obvious to many, some seem to think bmw wouldnt have been a second off the pace! Yeah but if your realistic you knew it was comming! One second is still pretty impressive. If they can keep it at 1 second gap then they will be fighting along the sides of Toyota/Red-Bull hence in some podium chances....well maybe....but I have faith in BMW they should be able to cut some split seconds off during the year. Remember they are running a very poor aero kit to! THey know that it will change before Bahrain. So if they get some good aero upgrades going they should shave some seconds off. Plus the V8 should keep on getting better during the year and the chassis looks pretty damn good so who knows! Definitly they will never be Renault pace but maybe a podium, maybe...I hope... Senna 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 MASSA ON TOP IN 2004 FERRARI ITV Felipe Massa took over where Marc Gene left off in testing at Barcelona today, putting a V8-powered 2004 Ferrari at the top of the timing charts. In similarly cold winter weather, Massa lopped nearly a second off Gene

Red Bull fan ire 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Encouraging progress for Red Bull Brrrrr! It was a chilly one in Barcelona on Wednesday, which meant there was some early morning thumb twiddling while the teams waited for the track to get up to a reasonable working temperature. With 13 drivers on duty for the day, that meant there was a lot of chatter going on, mainly about the presentation of the new Honda. However, for Red Bull
monza gorilla 1 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 McLaren are hardly setting the world alight today, occupying the last 2 places, 1.8 seconds off Rubens as I type this.
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 indeed, i really think they are having troubles, and now they are gonna be sorting out reliability before aero work and stuff so they will fall behind unfortunantly!
narain fan 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Nothing wrong with that taking into account the Renault hasn't even been officially launched yet, and their engine has probably done less track time than most the other big teams. Bring on 2006! ""Nothing wrong "" i point out that he sets the fastest time, and you say "nothing wrong" if anything it was a vindication of the claims a few informed members made that the renault will be strong , reliable and quick
cavallino 2 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 As for the Ferraris, since they are using 2004 chassis with less weight and aerodynamic restrains they should really not be mixed with the 2006 cars.... less weight I guess you people were right though I cant figure out why the F2006 should be slower than an F2004 with a shoehorned V8. I hope its just a different testing programme.

DC hasn't done many laps today, and is slower than Liuzzi in the Toro Rosso.
