Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 Nonetheless, Honda look quick. Indeed, and this is their test car so its not the final spec! I think we can expect Honda to be up the front again this year! more like 04 season for them i think, but i think they will win a few races! qas i said they run the test cars which are bits of last years cars with other things, and traditionally the proper car is much better! Lets hope this is the case again!

SIDEPOD 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 Hi Everybody! I've been following this forum for a couple of years. This is my first post and hopefully the first of many more... I am sharing two articles which I think should put to rest the discussion on whether JV drove the new car or not... I have included the links as I know some members want to know the source. I kinda liked JV's reply to the last question in the 2nd article. Hope it brings on a smile to JV fans!! To clarify, drivers I do like (find they have a personality, not corporate robots ) are MS, DC, Hakinnen (when he was in F1, was more for his performance consistency), JV and Montoya. The rest of them I'm neutral to. Apologies if the Q&A does not fall into the testing category of this post... Till my next post... ===================================================== http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=208420&FS=F1 Below is an article on an interview with JV from the above link Test programme/Remarks: The team carried out initial set-up work and measurements of engine and gearbox systems. The crew focused with Michelin on a tyre evaluation programme, and ran system checks. What comes next: Testing will continue tomorrow with Nick and Jacques, whereby Jacques will drive the BMW Sauber F1.06 for the first time. Nick Heidfeld Chassis: BMW Sauber F1.06 Engine: BMW P86 V8 Test kilometres today: 272 km Number of laps today: 68 Fastest lap: 1:12.440 (lap 65) Jacques Villeneuve Chassis: Sauber C24B Engine: BMW P86 V8 Test kilometres today: 368 km Number of laps today: 92 Fastest lap: 1:13.442 (lap 49) ===================================================== http://www.planetf1.com/news/story_21873.shtml Below is an article on an interview with JV from the above link Jacques Villeneuve on rebels, motorhomes, set-up and of course, the BMW-Sauber team... Q: People say that you are a rebel. Do you agree with that? JV: I disagree with that. Being a rebel means going against the establishment purely for the fact of being against the establishment and not because of having your own ideas. Sometimes I disagreed with the establishment, but this is because I have my own ideas, which is different to being a rebel. Normally a rebel is without a cause.
