Kay 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2006 I have over 200 poems but I'll spare you most of them... Here are the limericks I've done: There once was a driver from Frome Who now lives in a motor home He was always the gloat With a beard of a goat He resembled the garden knome There once was a driver named Michael Whose time it had come to recycle His bad driving, cheating ways And no overtaking faze Oh whose going to miss you poor Michael There once was an Aussie named Mark Who made several an odd remark But in a single flash His opponents he'd crash And it soon became his trademark There once was a great team called willy Whose retirement rate got silly The drivers they sacked Were glad of the fact They managed to escape team willy

BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted November 2, 2006 I come and I bring a sad poem.... "I AM CRYSTAL METH " This was written by a young girl who was in jail for drug charges, and was addicted to crystal meth . She wrote this while in jail. As you will soon read, she fully grasped the horrors of the drug, as she tells in this simple, yet profound poem. She was released from jail, but true to her story, the drug owned her. Please keep praying for our Children, Teens, Young adults. Understand, this thing is worse than any of us realize... My Name: "Is TIK " I destroy homes, I tear families apart, take your children, and that's just the start. I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold, The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold. If you need me, remember! I'm easily found, I live all around you
Loser Boy 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2006 Nice going everybody! Perhaps I've got confused o'er the technicality of a limerick. Are the first 2 lines supposed to rhyme with each other & the last line? I thought first 2 lines & next 3 lines are two separate groups of rhyming. N'er mind, for better or verse, here's another one - If you are a prick, Do write a limerick, If you are a twat, I'll give you a swat, And you'll lay flat! Kay 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2006 Nothing More To Be Shadows creep behind the lilac sheet The shattered wine glass lays discreet Upon the pitiful and apologetic The once pathetic, now poetic Being is more than simple existence Or is there nothing more to be Once the wine has been sipped Can there be no turning back The suicidal dagger within us all That cuts painlessly as we fall But digs too deep to ignore Fallen once before The cold sharpness up in the air The warm copper masking smell Won’t camouflage blood red No it won’t absorb She lay undisturbed in her own No longer feared the unknown How is silence favoured Over life itself One of my faves! bajo39 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2006 This is how I feel whenever I try and write poetry, from one of my favourite poets: From my bed I watch 3 birds on a telephone wire. one flies off. then another. one is left, then it too is gone. my typewriter is tombstone still. and I am reduced to bird watching. just thought I'd let you know, ****er.
