Schu splashes out on rare supercar

Posted 02 January 2007 at 17:05 GMT

Retired seven time world champion Michael Schumacher treated himself to an extravagant present ahead of his thirty eighth birthday on Wednesday.

The Cologne based 'Express' newspaper claims that the former Ferrari driver has splashed out on a Shelby Cobra Daytona Super Coupe - one of the world's rarest supercars.

Only six of the original cars - valued today at several million dollars - were ever built in the mid Sixties, ironically in a bid to wrestle the GT title from dominant Ferrari.

I must explain this at this point.

For several years I wanted to have a son to name it Michael beacuse of Michael Schumacher I almost cried when I knew that my first baby it was a girl I named it Laura Michelle to include some Michael in her name because i didn't want to have more than one child, in my mind I was done having babies with this one but something happened and I had another baby, this time it was a boy and that boy was born exactly the same day of Schumi's birthday, for two years i didn't realize this but one day I was in a supermarket I took a jello box with some info about Schumi on it and then I knew taht my son, the one I name Michael becasue of Schumi have the same birthday as him, so in this tread I included my wishes for both of them, I really want the best in life for both, I always say to my son taht he is a gift from God beacuse I didn't want to have another son and the date that he was born is some kind of confirmation for me, so hopefully next January 3, 2009 I will be trying to find this thread again beacuse this is a really especial date for me.

So now you know that the answer to your question is a big YES, I really feel I have to celebrate this date.

Nope, can\'t say that I do :D i just don\'t celebrate the birthdays of racing drivers I don\'t even know personally. That point is stupid anyway, how many people do you actually know that DO celebrate the religious side of christmas? for most people it is simply an excuse to get fat and drink excessive amounts of alcohol. Also, there is no need to be a smart alec ;)

Well, Schumikonen likes too and it's his right i guess. I'll be watching carefully when there's a thread to say Happy Birthday to Lewis.

Thank you. I thought it was brilliant actually because it completely destroyed the point you were making to which you have provided no convincing rebuttal.

how many people do you actually know that DO celebrate the religious side of christmas?

Fourteen.

for most people it is simply an excuse to get fat and drink excessive amounts of alcohol.

Indeed it is. But for some it's an excuse to worship the man and the religion they believe in. I have no problem with that. A bit like Schumikonen in a way, wouldn't you say?

Also, there is no need to be a smart alec ;)

Oh, but you know there is. I'm the pedantic a*se hole around here that will be your friend when you speak sense and pounce on you like a hawk when you don't. That's just the way it is and it's the way i like it. Others don't and some others do.

Oh, i almost forgot. A belated Happy Birthday to you Michael. I know you won't read this but it makes me feel better to express my appreciation of you publicly. Mince pie anyone?

Seeing as the majority of what you post is also opinion based, maybe you should add the word arrogant to that sentance, seeing as you are making the assumption that your opinion of sense is better than everyone elses.
