RALF Schumacher believes his Formula One career could be nearing its end. He has no team for 2008 and there's nothing in sight.

The German, who left Toyota at the end of the 2007 season, had a luckless day testing for Team Force India today:

"It's possible that that was my last drive in a Formula One car,'' he said after his one-off appearance for the team at Jerez, Spain. The 32-year-old veteran said he would rather not drive in Formula One if he could not find a team with promise.

The German media had billed Schumacher's Jerez appearance as as a last-ditch effort to save his beleaguered career.

But Schumacher said he was testing for Indian multi-millionaire Vijay Mallya, who owns Force India, as a "friendly service'' to the team which ran last year under the name Spyker.

The German declared that he doesn't want a seat with the newly renamed Force India although he tested for them today. "I'm only here to have fun and to do a favour for Vijah Mallya. We have agreed on this test three months ago. He wanted experienced drivers to find out how the car and the team is. That's it. At the moment I don't think I'll race here. I don't know what I'll do: will I drive or will I stay at home? I don't know," declared Ralf.

It's a shame, I liked ralf quite a lot. Sure he hasn't been the best this year. But the guy is great driver on his day. Hey, he even managed to step on the podium each year. Guess we will never know if he was capable of emuling his brother if he had the right equipement and the right environement. I still think ralf was a blistering fast driver at Jordan and williams and that Toyota killed his carreer. 2005 was quite good still and 2006 he was out of the spotlight because of the car yet he sorted out above trulli.

I deeply think ralf lost motivation when his brother left the sport. It made him realised that it he would never be able to challenge his brother again on a GP and that world champion and titles wher far away because of what toyota actually was.

Well, enought said. I say farewell to Ralf Schumacher and good luck, you entertained us well during your carreer. You have too admire the schumacher brothers even if you hate them, they were the only brothers in sport history that mange too win races...

He and his brother are not on talking terms, so the only way he could advise him was through the media... Ralf still has to option to stay and drive (if he can find somebody), I feel all Micheal was giving him his opinion as a brother's advice
