chennaiguy 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 even though it is too early i would like to share some thoughts on what i feel my predictions will follow later meanwhile , i feel like ferrari are getting stronger and stronger in testing phase-test times shows that-well we can expect a schumi return-then the mclaren..hmmm i feel no god so far but lets wait and see-then the hondas' look good but on reliabilty we should wait and see watchout for massa, heidfield, webber and montoya-they may surprise a lot-i feel so thats for it now Right I know its still quite early but this will make for interesting reading after the next season to seee how way out we were!Kaciaj started the 2005 predictions thread on the 7th of December last year, so we are actually a little later this year! Right each member post full predictions of where the teams will finish and the Drivers! It will also be good to hear what you think certain teams will do/drivers will do next year, i.e. maiden victories, falls from grace etc. Here is my very early predictions... WCC 1. Mclaren Mercedes 2. Ferrari 3. Renault 4. Honda Racing F1 5. Toyota 6. Williams Cosworth 7. Red Bull Racing 8. BMW Sauber 9. Squadra Torro Rosso 10. MF1 I think all the top 5 teams will win a race this year and it will be very close between them all in terms of results. Both Renault and Honda will improve as the season goes on, Toyota and Ferrari will be the early teams to beat but as Renault, Honda and Mclaren develop their cars they will each improve dramatically by the end of the season. I also think Williams wont be that far off, and it will be very close for sixth place between BMW, RBR and Williams but Williams will get it! WDC 1. Kimi Raikonnen 2. Michael Schumacher 3. Fernando Alonso 4. Jenson Button 5. JPM 6. Rubens Barrichello 7. Fisichella 8. Felipe Massa 9. Jarno Trulli 10. Ralf Schumacher 11. Mark Webber 12. DC 13. Nico Rosberg 14. Nick Heidfeld 15. Klein 16. JV 17. Liuzzi 18. Speed 19. Albers 20. Monteiro Again the top 6 will each win a race and so will Trulli, Webber too will just miss out on a win at some point in the season where half the front runners retire with some random problems! Button will win 3 races and Barrichello 1. MS will win 4, as will FA and Kimi, JPM will win 2, trulli
nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 Going on early testing indications, Button looks to have a very good car. He may very well break his duck.
zippy 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 I do feel that Honda will win a race. The question is who will win it first. It will be good to see how Rubens stacks up against someone he is allowed to challenge.
F1 FANatic 1 Report post Posted January 30, 2006 Looks like i will have to update my predictions i made almost a month ago i think. for WDC i predicted that one of the 20 drivers would win it now i must say that one of the 22 drivers on the grid will win it. second, for the WCC i predicted that one of the 10 teams would win, i must update this prediction to; one of the 11 teams will win if you have been keeping up with the news i updated my predictions on the bassis that Super A.. something will take part this year. i also updated these predictions so i dont get called a false profit by any of the forum members. Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2006 William Hill's odds for 2006. WCC Mc Laren 11/10 Ferrari 2/1 Renault 10/3 Toyota 14/1 Honda 16/1 Williams 20/1 B M W Sauber 66/1 Red Bull Racing 80/1 Toro Rosso 200/1 Super Aguri 200/1 Mf1 200/1 I do not agree with the 3 in bold. Based on current performance both Honda and renault are far better than mclaren, and before mclaren can work on the car itself they must sort out reliability, and this is exactly what happened to BAR last season, maybe mclaren will suffer a fall from grace like BAR did last year! WDC K Raikkonen 13/8 Michael Schumacher 2/1 F Alonso 4/1 J P Montoya 6/1 J Button 20/1 F Massa 20/1 R Barrichello 25/1 G Fisichella 25/1 Ralf Schumacher 33/1 J Trulli 33/1 M Webber 50/1 N Rosberg 100/1 N Heidfeld 125/1 J Villeneuve 150/1 D Coulthard 150/1 C Klien 150/1 V Liuzzi 500/1 T Sato 500/1 T Monteiro 500/1 S Speed 500/1 C Albers 500/1 Button looks good value, as does Rubens, maybe putting a bet on one of them to finish 2nd or 3rd wouldnt be too risky! Same with Fisi

Wez 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2006 There is some money to be made ther in my opinion... Renault 10/3 (third favourates) F Alonso 4/1 (third favourate) But... Williams at 20/1, you might as well throw your cash into a fire, its not gonna happen. Im also a bit surprised Mclaren are such strong favourates, 11/10 wow! Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2006 thats what i thought, but william hill arnt all that big with motorsport and last year constantly had MS as 2nd fave to win each race after kimi!

RS Note: the drivers underlined i am predicting to be the race winners this year. I don't know Ben. Toyota hasn't once been ahead of BMW. It is only testing but the BMW appear to have the measure of Toyota and the Williams. I would state BMW is going to slide in behind Mclaren. If I based it just on testing, I would be so bold as to place BMW ahead of Mclaren. So just to really hang it out there I'll try this WCC 1. Renault 2. Honda 3. Ferrari 4. BMWSauber 5. McLaren 6. Toyota 7. Williams 8. RBR 9. STR 10. MF1 12. SAF1 Disclaimer 3-7 will be the closest race we have ever seen with any of these teams swapping places. WDC 1. Alonso 2. MS 3. nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Toyota can't be judged as they are still running their '05 aero package. I think they'll have their new kit just before Bahrain, so they could be difficult to call.
kup 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2006 I wanna predict 2006 very like 2003 season, and maybe like 83 and 74 too. Maybe even as 82 and 99 (in _bad_ cases). Imho Renault has a bit better chances ... I just wanna remind the "tyre" factor - in case of BS adv. CC goes to Fer-1 or Toyota-2. And in case of Michelin adv. CC goes to Ren-1 or McL-2 or Honda-3. Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2006 If testing is anything to go by, then sadly Alonso and Fisi may finish 1st and 2nd in the ch'ship. Lets just hope M Schu & Button have got good enough machinery to challenge. I'd like to see jpm winning but mclaren not looking too good. Why the hell havent mclaren ditched Mercedes? All these years of under-achieving (by mclaren standards)
