LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 Saw 'Demons'. A horror movie so bad it's actually good & a lot hilarious. On 2nd thoughts, was it intentionally made the way it was? Anyhow, lots of fun.
Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 Taken. Liam Neeson - quite a good film. Ended up caring about the characters. Leon (The Professional). Jean Reno and Natalie Portman. This makes my top 5 films ever to watch. Every time I do, it gets better. Like you can get inside the characters heads. Amazing film.
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 This is relevant. But I had to do this. That is Jensen Ackles, star of Supernatural as one of the Winchester boys and My Bloody Valentine which I watched, and is quite good. (Relevant reco) But holy mackerel with sweet chilli sauce he's hot. Yes please! Yeah I so would!!! Has anyone seen that dire 2012 yet?
mikathegreat2 2 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 Saw Harry Brown on Friday! Pretty full on movie!
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 Saw Harry Brown on Friday! Pretty full on movie! Thank you for mentioning this movie! It's a must-see going by ratings/reviews. It's not often that I recommend a Bollywood movie, but here's it: "Quick Gun Murugun" Do see it with English subtitles. A funny movie, spoofs the outlandishness of Indian movies in general. Also recommend this doper movie : Spun.
Quiet One 15 Report post Posted November 17, 2009 Watched Pandorum (bleh), Inglorious b#####ds (bleh), Antichrist (awesome), and some other blehs that I can't even remember. Jay, stick to Jim Jarmusch, the guy is one of the very few reasons why humankind should be spared.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 23, 2009 'Gamer' - one frenetic movie from the Neveldine/ Taylor stable. I've already decided to like it. These 2 make the perfect movies for ADHD guys like me.
Jez 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Anyone seen 2012? I saw it lastnight. Great film! Amazing effects , the whole feel is candy to the eye with all the earth quake and tidal wave destruction scenes. It certainly has it's cheesy moments, but it is what it is, so I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Jenson_Rules 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 I saw it two nights ago, and walked out after the first hour as i found it utterly Sh#t. Plus, I worked out after 5 mins what the end would be... mikathegreat2 2 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Believe me Steph, it is utter dross and not worth your hard earned cash! Not my type of film but it's supposed to be dreadful! I read a newspaper & gave it 1 star!
Grabthaw the Hammerslayer 4 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 The Fall directed by the same guy who directed The Cell. Two visually stunning, cleverly put together movies....
Jez 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 Not my type of film but it's supposed to be dreadful! I read a newspaper & gave it 1 star! Well, ok, it's not exactly an independent nouveau arthouse film. But because I was already expecting it to be a cheesy Hollywood blockbuster, I ended up really enjoying it, especially for it amazing destruction scenes. They're worth the price of admission alone! LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 25, 2009 Watched 'Bruno' - funny & shocking , but 'Borat' was way funnier. Bruno's funniest-scariest moment was when the MILF agrees to make her toddler (no more than 5 years old) lose 10 pounds of her 30-lb-body weight & resort to liposuction, if necessary. And yeah, I want to see 2012 on the big screen, only for the special effects. A few recos - Equus (1977, Sidney Lumet) Tokyo Gore Police Riki-Oh (the story of Ricky)
Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 Ok Ben. You're forgiven me darlin! Eh. Tenacious D - ****ing hilarious. Scarface - Utter utter brilliance. The Pathfinder. This film is a little bloody gem. I liked it.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 Ok Ben. You're forgiven me darlin! I've no idea how you easily forgive a movie spoiler. Me, I'm still boiling with anger that my school-chum spoilt the ending of 'The Orphan'. I've already stopped talking to him, next step is to have him pushing daisies. In this thread itself, a few pricks had spoilt the ending of 'Usual Suspects'.

I've already stopped talking to him, next step is to have him pushing daisies. In this thread itself, a few pricks had spoilt the ending of 'Usual Suspects'. Unforgivable. However. I'm God-damned tired, had no fecking sleep last night and an issue thats DRIVING ME ****ING NUTS ALRIGHT!! *laughs* still have tummy problem and you may as well say I've lost my ****ing voice too. So. Go easy on me! Rawr.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Saw '2012' . In the theatre, believe it or not. Fantastic special effects, but my gripe is that more of the movie should have been special effects. Hell, entire movie, including the end credits, should have been a spectacle, 150 minutes of amazing destruction. Oh, well. The non-special effects part is a crashing bore. In an odd sort of way, I felt happy to see millions die. I mean sort of like the overpopulation problem was taken care of. Overall, fun, yeah. But watching in a theatre was a bit disconcerting. I repeatedly kept reaching out for the imaginary keyboard & mouse, to pause/rewind the special effects.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 28, 2009 Anyone see 'Ninja Assassin' yet? I can't wait to see it. Ultra gore, blood spurting, beheadings, chopping off limbs, non-stop violence, slick visuals. Entertainment at its finest.

LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 Saw 'Religulous'. As our Jew-Atheist from Argentina pointed out, it's a funny-serious movie. Wish Bill Maher had taken the mickey out of Hinduism also.
mikathegreat2 2 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 Anyone see "Paranormal Activity"? Couldn't be arsed! Supposedly, just a few pps in a house, the camcorder fast-forwards & then demons attack them! Also Law Abiding Citizen looks good aswell as The Men Who Stare at Goats!
Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2009 Anyone see "Paranormal Activity"? Couldn't be arsed! Supposedly, just a few pps in a house, the camcorder fast-forwards & then demons attack them! Also Law Abiding Citizen looks good aswell as The Men Who Stare at Goats! I was absolutely terrified in parts of that film. I watched it with my mate Emma (praise bit-torrenting) and the first half hour isnt much. I never get scared at films, but that one left a bit of a scar on me. Me and my mate grabbed each other at one point. Well worth taking a look. Watched Battle Royale 2 again. Bloody amazing. Also subjected to Dreamgirls by my brothers girlfriend. I have never watched such a load of wank in all my life. Never watch it if you value your life. Sorry Ben, you're the exception. Awful awful film. Not as bad as Titanic though. Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 The Men Who Stare at Goats. I don't need to see the movie; it can't possibly be as entertaining to me as the title.
