Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 COR! Liam Neeson in a new film? *Goes to check, and browse some pictures* I watched Death of a President last night. It was entertaining, but had a lot of holes in the plot. Good concept for a film, and as I said earlier - entertaining.
Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2008 So. I finally got to see Quantum of Solace last night. Didn't disappoint. 007 (for me) never fails to deliver. And Daniel Craig has really managed to pull Bond into the twenty-first century.
LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted November 15, 2008 Watched David Lynch's "Eraserhead". To try to understand it would be an exercise in futility. Anyway, it was quite disconcerting.

Yeah i saw it Friday morning (12.01am show), I heard it was crap, so didn't have that high expectations, thus i liked it. Though Ford payed a lot to get their cars in that movie... LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted December 12, 2008 Watched "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". A totally whacky, outrageous, tripped-out comedy. I kid you not. Johnny Depp & Del Toro are on top of the game as an oddball duo who practically live every moment high on drugs. Unpredictability and humour rule the roost in this movie. You'll laugh your a## off at the dialogues and the antics. Hell, I felt I myself was high while watching it. Terry Gilliam has done a wonderful job of being at the helm. Do yourself a favour. Watch this without fail.

And Tanita heard the magic words, Johnny Depp... see, that's the way to get me to watch a film, even if I don't have any idea if I will like it XD At least now I have a proper program that loads subtitles... I doubt the drugged main characters of a movie would make much sense to me without them! If I find it for download I'm giving it a try^^
Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2008 I have a baby. So me and Mrs Jem don't go out as much as we used to. We arranged to go to the cinema, just the two of us. I was excited about it for weeks. We saw 'The day the earth stood still' (Keanu Reeves). The biggest pile of wank I've ever seen.

Sad that the movie failed you. Hope the darkness of the theatre did give you some pleasure, though.

LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Watched Peter Jackson's "Meet the Feebles". A puppet-animation movie, it'll have you rolling on the floor. Imagine a walrus knocking up a cat. Imagine a small elephant that ejaculates thru its nose. Imagine a cow doing an S & M movie. Imagine a contortionist ending up having his head stuck up his own arse. The things mentioned above & many other wacky, twisted humorous situations will give tone your abs better than anything in the world could. Not that I love to indulge in reverse snobbery, but Peter Jackson's earlier movies are much more entertaining than his mega-zillion dollar movies. Oh by the way, this movie also spoofs "Deer Hunter" & has a fleeting, visual reference to "Bad Taste". Go, watch it and laugh your a## off. Another one that I watched was "Merchant of Venice". I was skeptical; thought that I'd nod off. But, what do I know? Al Pacino gave a tour-de-force performance. Words really fail to do justice to his thespian skills in this movie. The movie does have quite a few lines that are difficult to comprehend. If my memory serves me right , Graham had mentioned that ol' Willy's works contained elements/sly references to homosexuality.Turns out, he was right. Do watch the movie to find out how one actor carries an entire movie on his arms.

Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 What is the big deal with that guy? I just don't get it. Not sure, he has certainly done better movies though. Lot of people saying it's crap, 1 guy on PSN (PlayStation Network) said it's the worst film ever! I wouldn't go that far, even if I struggle to think of a film which is less interesting. It gets some points because the ending is decent, in a way. Basically I would just watch the last 10 minutes of it.

LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted January 28, 2009 Watched "Lost Highway". As is usual with any David Lynch movie, impossible to arrive at a definite conclusion. Open to interpretation. But hell, yeah , it's hell of an entertaining mind-bender! And Patricia Arquette.... what a hot bod!!!!!! She's got the body a female should ideally have! Also, "Dead Ringers". It's also plays with your mind. Pretty good performance by Jeremy Irons.

Crow is convincing. *typo. About Will Smith, I think he's got the record of having the maximum number of movies that have earned at least a 100 million dollars. Yep, American Gangster is too good. In addition to the lead 2, Josh Brolin was also good.
