American Gangster is brilliant! My fave gangster movie is The Departed!

It has a quality because of Marty's direction but I thought personally that Di Caprio and Damon were cast the wrong way around. Nicholson was brilliant. My favourite gangster film has to be Casino.

Blindness

Love is blindness

I dont want to see

Wont you wrap the night

Around me

Take my heart

Love is blindness

In a parked car

In a crowded street

You see your love

Made complete

Thread is ripping

The knot is slipping

Love is blindness

Love is clockworks

And cold steel

Fingers to numb to feel

Squeeze the handle

Blow out the candle

Love is blindness

Love is blindness

I dont want to see

Wont you wrap the night

Around me

Oh my love

Blindness

A little death

Without mourning

No call

And no warning

Baby...a dangerous idea

That almost makes sense

Love is drowning

In a deep well

All the secrets

And no one to tell

Take the money

Honey

Blindness

Love is blindness

I dont want to see

Wont you wrap the night

Around me

Oh my love

Blindness.

Your word reminded me of one of my fav U2 songs...

anywayz....

Oh yes! Casino is possibly one of the best films made!

I actually think that they got the parts just right. I would have expected Di Caprio to be the opposite to what he played and the same with Matt Damon, but it was refreshing to watch them act the way they did, without giving too much away.

Reminded me a little of Face/Off - sort of like the same kind of concept, but still good nonetheless.

I watched Glory the other day, an early Denzel Washington/Morgan Freeman/Matthew Broderick film and quite enjoyed it, albeit predictable.

A lot of people don't like that film but I agree with you, quite entertaining.

I don't rate Depp, but it's a good film. Anyone who has dabbled with drugs will (presumably) find this film funny.

Watched Run Fat Boy Run last weekend. Maybe you have to be a fan of Simon Pegg (which I am), but what a great, funny film. Priceless.

Watched Iron Man as well, which I liked, bit then I'm easily pleased :P

Love both of them.

"Is it cool if I have my picture taken with you? Yes, it's very cool."

Best line in Iron Man

Yeah i saw it Friday morning (12.01am show), I heard it was crap, so didn't have that high expectations, thus i liked it. Though Ford payed a lot to get their cars in that movie...

I was disappointed because of the lack of gadgets in Quantum of Solace. For me number of cars don't matter.

Well, Transporter 1 and Ronin were superb,

but transporter 2 and 3 are Audi ads! :D

I have never dabbled with drugs. If you don't withdraw your slanderous, malicious insinuation, I'll tell the world that your knockers are actually made of silicone.

A few suggestions on movies that you guys should watch:

Ip Man (Action, Cantonese)

Ghost Dog- The way of the Samurai

The Midnight Meat Train

The Wave (German)

While awaiting for P3 to start, I am watching "Religolous". I don't want to start any religious debate but boy, I am laughing so hard!

By the way I heard a "3 Stooges" Remake with Benicio del Toro (Moe), Sean Penn (Larry) and Jim Carey (Curly) ...well...my expectations and far the bellow the worst! Remember the "Adams Family"? Vade Retro!

Yet to see them, but I've already made up my mind that these 2 are gonna be great movies. No sarcasm, I'm pretty much sold anytime it's a superhero/ action sci-fi movie.

Watched "Harold & Kumar escape from Gitmo Bay". Hilarious & a laugh riot from start to end! The scene where the racist anti-terrorist guy looks at the panhead, er, sorry, the South Korean Harold, and says "What's wrong with his eyes? Is he handicapped?" had me laughing my a## off! Go, watch it for easy laffs!

Ok I saw Wolverine, and it is utter tripe! I thought it was dreadfully boring. I love the X Men films, but thats because I like the mutants in them, and they are fun action films. This was just boring!

The film I'm looking forward too most this year is Transformers. The rest of the 'summer blockbusters' are not really my cup of tea.

Was in Mall of Emirates last night and decided to go to the cinema. We decided to watch Franklyn, on the basis that it looked like a horror film from the poster. Turns out it wasn't a horror film at all which was disappointing at first, however it is in actual fact a fantastically confusing film which all makes complete and wonderful sense in it's conclusion!

Saw "Dead Man". Simply outstanding movie. Great story, great acting all around (Johnny Depp is magnificient), great background score/music. It can be thought of as a dark humor movie in major parts. Never knew Jim Jarmusch made such good movies. You just have to see this movie.

Also saw "Bolt". Think of it as "The Truman Show" extrapolated to a cute dog. Immensely enjoyable.
