Who's Fault Is This?

Recommended Posts

I would say that it was a racing accident, no blame really. Nick should have been more careful, but it looked like Kubica oversteered which probably caught him off guard

It was a racing accident indeed. Never saw this footage before, interesting. Seems like a classic "what are these mirrors for?" this time from Nick.

Kubica apologised, so maybe he feels responsible.

Imo it was just first corner antics.

Sadly it cost Kubi downforce.

(but that was the least of his problems on sunday)

Well, we see the BMW is a lot faster out of the gates then the Williams. But i have to say too that there isnt really any fault. looks to me as though nick over steared because of a lack of air over his front wing upon braking and slid right in front of Kubi where he couldn't do anything.

Just curious to know what other problems did he have. :eusa_think:

A puncture, no radio and he had to have his nose (no jokes guys) changed.

I think thats all

Did you guys notice how aggresive Kubica is at the start,...he cut across Nico just as he did across Hamilton in Melbourne

Good for him!

If it was allowed for Schumi then its good for all!

I'm with you guys, it was just a racing incident. Kubica is no more aggressive than what is necessary IMO.

The funny thing to add is that Robert apologised to Nick, at least this is what Nick says. Theissen was also saying that Robert hit Nick, not the other way around nor "they touched".

Robert also said that he had had problems with gearbox and breakes - even with small breaking force rear wheels had been locking themselves. That last thing was the main cause of the spun.

I hope that replacing engine and gearbox for the Bahrain GP will help him to finally gain some points after Monza podium...

I saw it and the commentators were too busy talking about hamilton to bother mentioning it! I really hope rob's car start's being as reliable as nick's has been in the past 2 races, he deserves it!

Kubica ruuuules :D:)

Kubica is a cowboy! the guy is undoubtedly quick at times but he makes stacks of errors and is inconsistent.

He reminds me a lot of drivers like Massa & Wurz.

The fact that he hasn't scored a single point since his podium finish last season says a lot!

Looked more Bob's fault to me, in terms of leaving his nose in a vulnerable position, but basically just a racing incident. Kubica has plenty of potential and I don't think he'll have too much trouble scoring points once his reliability problems are fixed.

which one is the guy in front? cos i reckon he is to blame

Yup. This could be considered an 'incident' because he 1)illegitimately prevented a legitimate overtaking manoeuvre by a driver; and 2) illegitimately impeded another driver during overtaking. Link

Of course it's up to the judgement of the stewards to decide if it's an incident that needs disciplinary action. In this case, it's obvious that it wasn't intentional, and hence no formal action from the stewards.

I have just read in Polish press, that Kubica did not apologize to Nick. Kubica asked about those apologies said: "What? What should I apologize for? He must have misunderstood me or maybe he even wanted to misunderstand my words."

Nice! I like conflicts in F1 :)
