Would You Hire Alonso?

Recommended Posts

Yer only 10, son, you'd know nothing about marriage. Other than that bloody "wedding" you had on the blinking playground in first grade. When I wos a boy, golly ol' Queen Elizabeth was still in powah, an' we all couldn't afford any 'am. Nowadays we've plenty of 'am, but not enough munny to put a car on the grid. An' Alonso's undies are rathah sexy, that's why we wanted to join up with McLaren, but when Fernando took 'im and 'is undies elsewhere we 'ad to leave. Between you an' me, Jenson Button is the love child of me an' Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Care for a spot of tea?

No, more like 704 kilos, or the weight of your future wife.

Wow only 704, cool, that's less than my current wife, so at least I'll be going up in the world, I wish I could say the same for your penis. And that wedding would of been great, if she'd turned up.

'newayyyyy yer dunt no nottin 'bout 'ow us brits talk 'cos yer wun of 'em 'mericans 'rnt't yeh.

Yet I magically have no accent. Damn shame, I've been told Boston accents are sexy <_<

:)

Ah but not as sexy as a British accent to a female Bostonian - when I went to Boston twice I had young ladies saying "nice accent" - well you know, Eric you've either got it or you ain't :D

They had nice guide dogs too... :)

This reminds - me - a blind man goes into a supermarket, grabs his dog by the tail and spins it around over his head. The rather worried manager of the store approaches him and says: "sir, can I help you?" "Oh no" the man replies "just looking around....!" :D

 That reminded me of the film Happy Gilmore, which reminds me of someone I know who has the surname Gilmore, anyway, fancy a spot of tea?

:)

Ahh, what the **** is a surname? Dumb Brits.

I take it Gilmore is your surname.

Harold Richard Gilmore, aka Harry d#ck Gilmore, by any chance?

And no, I like my spots to be casual, not fancy. And I prefer p**s to tea, thanks.

I've picked up some Bostonian phrases...especially the use of wicked. Business trip to North Carolina. I said wicked. They all looked at me funny. One asked why I'd ever speak of something be cool and using the devil to describe it. So then I looked at him funny. I guess he thought wicked cool meant cool like the devil or something. Weirdo.

I once said 'Give me those handcuffs so I can lock up your wife tonight' to a policeman, he looked at me funny, then arrested me. And no my names not Harold or 'arold, that just reminds me of Harold Shipman. How many sugars do you want in your p**s?

This thread is wicked.

Ah yes the word: wicked - I remember that - yes that was like sooooo 80's :)

Another few phrases for you (genuine English sayings):

Grim = vernacular for slightly bad

Bollocks = vernacular for something fairly bad

Dog's Bollocks = vernacular (peculiarly) for something very, very, exceptionally good

e.g. Your car's the dog's bollocks; whereas your mates might be grim and its brakes are bollocks

And a Viper may be red with silver stripes, but I want a black one. Pretty cheap too (find me another 600hp car for $83k and I'll buy you non-alcoholic c#cktails for life...and no, it can't be a used car, either). And of course, this is a proper Viper:

Can you snakeskin green?

Sweeet B) !!! I'd still rather have a red w/ white striped 1!

Ahh, young mika, much to learn.

Never, and I mean never, buy a car in a loud color like that green or that red. Especially a super car. You could probably get away with it on like a Daihatsu Midget, but def not a super car.

Trust me. You are asking for a speeding ticket in a red Viper if you 1 mph over. In a black one, they'll let you go 2 over ;)

So when Lewis started to outperform in the same car at the beginning of the season, and he was still classed as a rookie, it must of damaged his ego greatly (meaning he pushed harder, leading to more mistakes)*. It was only later on in the year, when people forgot Lewis was a rookie and just accepted he was a top drawer driver, that Alonso could get some self belief back again (hence his performaces getting better) as he was no longer being beaten by any old driver, he was being beaten by someone who was being compared (wrongfully) with Senna and Schumacher.

The only really big mistake Alonso made last season was at Canada. But remember he was totally p**sed of with the TEAM (the bosses not anybody else) after what had happened at Monaco. You may think Hamilton&Dennis complaining together was not so important but for Alonso it really was a point of inflection. Monaco and then Canada are the key points to understand the whole season. Alonso thought he had to show he was number one at Canada but it was not a feeling he had inside, it was something that came from Monaco. He was overmotivated and I would even say he was overanxious, he didn't face it as one more race and that was the biggest mistake he's made so far in his career. But still remember things could have been very diferent at Montreal if that Safety Car had been deployed one lap earlier or one later.

I always trust Alonso when he answers quickly like he did at China, he said something like: Hamilton can be quicker than me in a flying lap with a similar fuel load but 0.7 seconds after a perfect lap... It was not the first time he had had that felling but it was the first time he talked freely about it. He did it not because it was nearly the last race of the season but because it was really too much. Then Ron Dennis said we weren't racing Kimi, we were racing Fernando. They had been racing Fernando during the whole season and they even raced him at Brazil.

The key points was that Monaco changed the relationship with the team and Canada changed, it was little by little, the approaching to the races.

Fernando Alonso spent an entire day at Honda's Brackley factory this week and even had a seat fitting, reports from Germany on Thursday said.

Sport Bild claims that the double world champion, who is still yet to commit to a team for 2008 after splitting with McLaren, is 'nearing an agreement' with the Japanese outfit that recently tabbed Ross Brawn as its new team boss.

It is reported that the first approach to Alonso about possibly joining Honda was made by F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, after the previously Nick Fry-led team embarrassingly netted just six points with its RA107 package this year.

The publication said Alonso would take the place of Rubens Barrichello; the Brazilian veteran who would move to Honda's satellite team Super Aguri in 2008 as Takuma Sato's new team-mate.

Alonso's manager, Luis Garcia Abad, on Thursday was not contactable

It was typical Bilds##t.

The silly season is not over yet. Fernando Alonso has been linked with several teams, but still hasn't signed a contract. Today, the German newspaper 'Bild' reported that Alonso had visited the factory of Honda and that the Spaniard was close to signing a deal with the Bracket-based team. Only hours after the news came out, Honda denied that Alonso visited the team's factory. The team already announced their 2008 driver line-up during the summer.
