Ok fine... I still voted Other as no one really impressed today particularly... It was just a Ferrari Procestion...

WDC:

Kimi 29

Hamilton 20

Kubica 19

Massa 18

Hmm I can't decide, Button was very good, as was Lewis, as was Kimi, as were a few others.

I'll split my vote between the guys I mentioned.

Nando. That Renault was nowhere as heavier compared with the others as people thought. Yet he was right up there, and should the engine resists, he could have even fought for a podium...in the R28!

Yet another boring race.

I agree with that, only 2 overtakes that i noticed, Nick on Fisi and DC on Sato...

apart from the start obviously..

There's Kimi, but also Fisico and Button... so this time it's Kimi but probably next will be Fisi xD

They should have banned aerogremlins, grooves, passive wings and passive suspensions instead of TC and EBS. The less electronics the cars have the more the teams use the money on aerogremlins and the worse the races are.

I think its the track that is the problem not the cars that much...

nonsense

i agree

Hang on though Alehop - when I said Alonso would come in 5th - you told me I had rated him too high. I said that he would qualify high on a lower fuel load (exactly what he did) and push because he's in Spain. He would have come in around 5th too without the engine blow up.

So where exactly do you stand?

Personally I don't think he sucked at all. He had a good race but unlucky result.

Also

Your podium prediction - Massa, Kimi, Kubica

My podium - Kimi, Massa, Hamilton

ahem...

Final podium - Kimi, Massa, Hamilton

The rest of my top 7 got unlucky (apart from Kubica)

4th - Heidfeld had to pit under safety car so got his stop go penalty - that's a silly rule.

5th - Alonso's engine let go.

6th - Kubica

7th - Kovi's wheel rim let go.

Oh well - can't predict car failures.

You were right about Kubica doing well though - 4th and a good performance - I was wrong to think that BMW's competativeness would fall away in Europe - nice to see them still up there.

Good race with 9 non-finishers. Good that Kovi's okay too - that looked potentially nasty.

Aaaaargh - 2 whole weeks to wait until Turkey - what am I going to do with my pitiful life?

EDIT - hmm - oh yeah - driver of the day - it's a tricky one this week.

I'm going for Webber - I think he had a quiet but good weekend - qualified 7th finished 5th - especially when compared to DC in the same car.

Yep, very true. And it is more expensive a wind tunnel than any electronic device so big teams will be bigger and...

We have to wait for next year rules.

Alonso pushed hard but his Renault broke down but still remember Kovi's accident and Heidfeld's penalty. Renault was not too bad in Barcelona but none of their cars could finish the race. I still leave a question mark in my book for Renault and Nelsinho.

DOD: Alonso because he made possible something impossible just a few days ago. He had quite the same pace and he wasn't much lighter than the others. I might be dreaming but no more than those who voted for some others.

Yup.

but even next year the big teams will spend the same amount of money just in some other area.

Yeah possibly but I tend to think that aerodynamics are particularly hard to figure out, so they can spend the money on other areas but probably won't get the same benefit in lap time. Plus, as DOFwas probably meaning, complicated aero packages fail when behind another car, which makes overtaking particularly hard.

Oh yeah, Kimi would be my driver of the day. But of course, the whole discussion is rather pointless given the different cars. Who can really compare Nando and Kimi this weekend...
