Do you really think you can place Hamilton as the DOD?. He won, but was very fortunate. I think Sutil, Kubica and Massa all had better races, but didn\'t have as good of luck. Hamilton was stellar putting together those string of laps before his final pit stop. I\'ll give him credit there, but man he was lucky not only to recover from smacking the wall, but to have that incident actually help his chances of winning, was pure blind arse luck!!!!!!..

I don\'t agree, I think Lewis was just too fast for them. Considering how heavily Lewis was fueled he was incredibly quick. 2-3 S per lap is more than fuel whatever way you look at it.

You win the craziest fanboy award. He crashed, was slower than his teammate.

Rubbish. Heikki was fast over a couple of laps, as compared to a whole stint worth of very fast driving by lewis

Sutil and Kubica

Ah I see you wanted to vote for more than one driver, if only the poll was multichoice, that would be great that would, I bet everyone would love a new system like that.

If you, as I did, spent 2 hours staring at the live timing, there is no way you can vote for anyone but Sutil. He was driving about 2 seconds out of his skin, per lap, every lap.

Anyone who votes for Hamilton is blind and deluded.

Kubica was good but he was NOT DOD

He had the opportunity to win the race, but ultimately fell short. He benefited from Massa's mistake and led the race for a period from Massa and Lewis - His middle stint was poor hence he lost the position he gained back to Massa on account of his relatively poor pace. Had ferrari not delayed their pitstop he would have come in 3rd.

Who cares anyway

:D

Tbh the whole discussion is almost pointless as I say every time. What's totally clear is that the only WDCs in the field both did really awful jobs.

Don't look at me!

Indeed, although most discussions on TF1 are pointless!

Sutil, Hamilton, Kubica, Webber in that order

Anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.

Fantastic race - really enjoyed that one - good for the impartials amongst us - good for the drivers championship too.

Goodnight. :P

Michael was on the prat perch again. Why didn't Kimi park it and ask the old man "Wanna go? I need a sh!t"

Kimi always seems to have bad races when Michael is on the prat perch. Not trying to accuse anyone of anything, but it sure as hell is an interesting phenomena.

Yeah I remember people saying that last year, but then Kimi won one when Michael was there and it broke the myth or whatever. Maybe the curse is back...more likely Raikkonen had one of his famous 'off-days' though.

I've said this before and will now repeat it..

Kimi only performs when he is the underdog. He doesn't handle the pressure of expectation very well and by losing what appeared to be a commanding position in the standings he has confirmed what I've always suspected. As WDC one would be forgiven for expecting him to dominate the field and build on the commanding lead he held over Massa and Lewis earlier in the season - He has not and that in itself raises questions. Massa hadn't scored a point in the first 2 races yet now trails kimi by just the one point and out raced his more favoured team mate.

Kimi will come good when he is not expected to.

Yup this may well be the case with Kimi.

Yup this may well be the case with Kimi.

It boils down to his 'I don't give a sh!t attitude' approach to F1. If he is allowed to drive with a nothing to lose (apparently) approach he excels. I imagine he is a very sensitive person and doesn't manage pressure very well, so he tries to engineer a situation where the pressure of expectation is deflected onto someone else, be it Lewis in 07 or Nando in 05.

In F1 it's the pressure of expectation that has been the undoing of many good drivers

- Heikki

- JPM

- Fisi

- Piquet

That is why I will always rate Nando as one of the best F1 drivers ever - to lose a 25 point lead to a 7 times WDC and still come out on top was awesome.

Adrian Sutil. Absolute Brilliance Absolutely :congrats: . I am gutted :( ..............Even though Lewis won,i'm feeling so sad at the moment. Stupid Ferrari. I think Ferrari just lost about 200million supporters here in India.

Laugh of the day though goes to a commentator on Starsports called jullian balley(i think that's his name at least)......he said "there's p daddy" when the cameras panned out to show diddy and nicole during lewis's podium celebrations.

d#ck move of the day: Fernando crashing into Nick at the Hairpin.....Nick then running over Fernando's Front wing.......Priceless.

Force India driver Adrian Sutil has been cautioned for overtaking under yellow flags during the rain-affected Monaco Grand Prix.

Sutil and the team's chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne were summoned to the steward's office after the race, and the German was reprimanded for passing Rubens Barrichello, Kazuki Nakajima and Nelson Piquet on lap 13.

A statement read: "The stewards do warn the driver of car no.20 as to his future behaviour in relation to appendix H, Chapter 2, Article 4.1.2b of the International Sporting Code."

Not so great a performance after all - had he completed the race, Williams would have lodged an appeal.

:P

Hmm nice quick response from the stewards there, not like he risked his neck for god knows how many laps.

Still a good drive from Adrian, although this does take the shine off it somewhat.
