french are arrogant and smelly and hairy - but germans are our football rivals. They knocked us out too many times from tournaments - but in the last 5 years we've done it back!!

I may not agree with you on topics regarding Alonso & Montoya but when it comes to football you are spot on!

Well we Button fans need to stick together. Such stupid unjustified comments are made sometimes, usually by bitter australians, and we need to put them down!

I'll never like Williams cos of what he did to Damon Hill

I was also disappointed when Sir Frank chose not to retain Damon but it was understandable considering Damon

Also another good reason to laugh your butt off would be when Rubens brings the first victory for BAR.

I'd much prefer it was Jacques to have gotten their first win, but a Rubens win would be priceless, just to see the look on Button's face. The only thing that would beat that would be to see the look on Button's face if Williams is more competitive than BAR.

I'm being a little cruel aren't I...well blame BMW, the longer this whole JV/BMW saga drags out, the crankier I get :checkit:

Williams have given alot of drivers an opportunity in F1. Some have shined, some have not, and I believe Rosberg will be the latest beneficiary of this policy.

Noway, if RB gets BAR's first win there better be a damn good reason why Button didnt get it!! That will only happen if JB is out of the race!!!

yeah maybe, but Rubens knows what it takes to win, he nor JB may not have the machinery to do so, but that is an advantage Rubens has over Jense, something you surely will agree with.

I think they both have what it takes to win. I'm positive that even if I hated Jenson as a person, I'd still see that he's been unlucky not to win so far. He came 2nd four times last year - if the leader had retired in any of those 4 races, Button would have won. Agreed? So if you think of it that way, Jenson DOES know what it takes to win, and could have easily won a race by now!

And don't forget most of alonso's wins this year have come as a result of cars in front of him retiring

Agree with you on Williams policy nojvnof1, in terms of top teams Williams is the one that gives more opportunities to youngsters and drivers without F1 experience, treating them well and opening doors for them.

Time for JB to put up or shut up. He's done this contract BS 2 times in a row now. He really has to start doing something worthwhile next year or he's gonna be a journeyman driver like so many before him in F1. At this stage I can't ever see him being a WDC. He might win a race eventually but he could also come away with a career record like Alesi and other past racers.

It was time for JB to 'put up or shut up' last year but he obviously didn't do the former and hasn't done the latter. Don't hold your breathe...

Oi you complete spooner, JB has not had the equipment apart from last year to shine, look at him this year, he has proved aggression an many other things. Who cares what happens off the track, its the stuff on the trac that counts, and JB is classed by many as 4th/5th best currently, and no doubt will continue improving! He has plenty of ime to become WDC, at least 10 more years to reach his goal!

if it wasnt due to the fact my parents are asleep and my typing is loud when in an argument i would be having a go at you right now, however i shall have to wait till tomoz!

Jenson isn't going to win a championship at BAR but if he can beat Rubens convincingly then perhaps he will impress Ferrari enough to take him on for the 2007 season. Let's hope he hasn't blundered his contract again in signing on for more than a year lest we see the same childish nonsense again next year.

4th/5th is fair of his abilities. He may continue improving but do you really think BAR will become a world champion team? I'm not so sure. I think it takes years of trying and getting better each year to achieve it. Renault surprised me this year. They have progressed quick quickly. But BAR dont' seem to be making much progress in the forward direction. Look at this year vs last year. JV got some podiums (or a few 4ths. can't rem) with BAR years ago. But they never went anywhere in the years that followed and seem to be stagnating. They never carried it over to the next year and kept getting better. Last year they had a good car. But also the other teams were totally off the mark as well. Had they been better, BAR would not have had as good a year. Maybe this year's car is as good as last years, but it's just that the other teams picked their game up more.

I can't for the life of me ever imagine Ferrari hiring Jenson to drive their cars. We'll see Kimi or Alonso or even Fisi (as in no ****ing way lol) in a seat before we see Jenson in a Ferrari. Here's food for thought lol. If hell freezes over and Jenson does get a seat at Ferrari it'll be cause Schumi, Todt and Brawn all retired, Massa is WDC and they need a lacky for seat #2.

koolmonkey, you clearly havent watched the 2005 season. If you have, then your dislike of Button as a person has entirely clouded your ability to recognize a top driver when you see one.
