well well, it seems JB has put his foot in it again. But seriously, just look at the magazine it's in, JB was obviously hamming it up for a laugh. Sheesh, some people are so freakin sensitive these days.

If Jenson wants to tell a joke he should just mention his no. of Formula 1 race wins
ouch!
2 pages and 40+ posts on this?? oh it's going to be a long off season

 and we're only two weeks in!

CC, I like your sig, good choice of words on the picture if I may say so myself!

hey folks check this one out:

from home of sport

Button's the boob, girls say - 28 October 2005

The tirade against Jenson Button's sexist 'boobs' taunt is not over yet, with another trio of girl racers slamming the F1 driver for claiming that women are no good at speed.

Ralf Schumacher's wife, Cora, races a Mini Cooper, and reacted angrily to suggestions that monthly cycles and big boobs prevent her from being a force to reckon with.

'I invite Button to take a ride in my car,' she told the 'Bild' newspaper. 'Then he'll see who is the faster sex.'

Ellen Lohr, who is a desert rally driver and the only woman to have won a DTM race, accused BAR-Honda's playboy of spending too much time with 'grid girls' and not enough time 'on the gas pedal'.

And, referring to JB's jibe that big boobs will keep women out of F1 c##kpits, she said: 'I think Button's mechanics tightened his belts so tightly that the oxygen has failed to reach his brain.'

Adding a third whopping punch to the Button blast, British touring car driver Fiona Leggate revealed that she often has to deal with sexism.

'If Button had said that to my face,' she told the Scotsman newspaper, 'I would have just laughed at him. Anyone who agrees with him should come and see me or other top women drivers such as Susie Stoddart and Katherine Legge race and they would soon change their minds.

'Comments like that just make me more determined to succeed.'

this one is gonna run and run

They obviously care about him if they feel a need to react, man why can't some people just either ignore what they don't like or take it as a joke?!? If they keep going on they are going to turn into the ones to laugh at!

aw come on, we have to have something to rip Jensen for, and he keeps saying all the right things to allow that, regardless of ontrack performance and machinery. I applaud you Jensen for managing such a feat :clap3:

(J/K for those that don't get it)

This is ridiculous! He was joking! The reaction has been uncalled-for.

NIGEL MANSELL TELLS BUTTON TO SHUTUP

British F1 legend Nigel Mansell has told Jenson to button it after the Honda star made controversial comments about female racing drivers in a leading men's magazine.

Button told FHM that women racers could never make it in Formula 1 because their bodies wouldn't be able to cope with the G-forces involved.

But a furious Mansell says Jenson should give more thought to the comments he makes in public.

"When you look at Jenson, having just done his 100th grand prix, I think he gets away with murder at times," he said.

"I don't thank him for the press chasing me around for his stupid remarks about women drivers.

"I think he scored another home goal there. If you can't say the right things, say nothing."

Button has come in for heavy criticism because of his comments in the magazine interview that while IRL racer Danica Patrick was a fast driver, he thought she might struggle in F1 because she was a woman.

"She finished fourth in the Indy 500, which is the biggest race in America," said Button.

"But in F1 cars I can't see it happening because of the G-force in high-speed corners. And one week out of the month you wouldn't want to be on the circuit with them, would you?"

- Seems Im not the only one who thought it wasn't just a "joke"

Trouble is, there are some real RETARDS out there that will listen to every word said in these kind of magazines and think that it is ALL serious... and I don't mean the people who have got offended. This kind of 'joke' is far too subtle for some to understand that a joke is what it is...

hehehehehehe he said boobs...

Seriously, PC sucks.

if you ever go to new york, make sure you see "avenue q". it's a fantastic broadway musical that has a serious and light hearted go at pc'ness using the juxtaposition of pretend sesame-street characters, and a fictitious gary coleman. you'd love it. serious gold and by far the coolest and funniest musical i've ever seen! big

Funniest musical I've ever seen (movie wise at least) would have to be either South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut OR Team America: World Police, and neither of those were PC in any way.

What?

it's pronounced FOOKING, Austria but it's spelt a little differently. We so need a Grand Prix track to be built near there incase A1 Ring/Osterreich redevelopement gets halted again :naughty:

This is my fourth post and I have never thrown insults at other people.

What you claim to be political correctness has nothing to do with what Jenson Button said. PC is concerned with saying policewoman or policeperson instead of the normal policeman. Not Jenson's personal comments on the restrictions of a woman driving in F1 for her female anatomy.

What Jenson said is just stupid. Im a guy. Im not a lesbian or a feminist. He might have been joking but it just isnt smart to say that to a publication.

And its not really that funny. It might get a chuckle but nothing more.

I live in a country which was the first one to give the wome the vote and I dont think its fair to women if you justify there racing ability because of their tits.

You might have got a laugh Jenson, but I'm sure you'll regret it someday.

PS. I have a sense of humour. I laugh at a lot of things in F1. Its just what Jenson said is a bit juvenile. Expected better really from Britain's so called future hope. He has to be a professional on and off the track. Sure he can have fun, just be a bit more discreet with his material. His personality will shine through in F1 without having to resort to these comments.

Well Said

Even though what he said is rude, I think he has a point, but he tried to make it sound funny, but some galz didn't get the "joke"

It was quite obvious that Jenson's comments were lighthearted in nature. I personally found them to be exceedingly funny.

His remarks made Windtunnel's Racer ? of the week........

I didn't catch it but it doesn't surprise me - his comments were funny as hell and all this ultra-feminist, over-reationary nonsense in the press is ridiculous!

People who have a sense of humour can see the funny side. People who dont, like Nigel Mansell, cant see the funny side
