ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2006 Or maybe you just follow sports that Australia does well in because you can't accept failure? Ah no. The 2 biggest international sports in AUstralia are cricket and rugby and those are the main sports i care about.

Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2006 The Australian Rugby team isnt in much better shape. We had a draw against Walse recently on only just managed to beat Ireland. I fear that if we get a match against the All Blacks they will massacre us. All blacks are by far the best team at the moment. Wales are doing pretty well too. In fact currently I dont think England are a match for Wales or France, and we're probably below scotland and ireland too. Its embarrassing, especially as we've just rebuilt a huge stadium at twickenham! Aussies are going to love it next year when we lose
ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2006 Aussies are going to love it next year when we lose No we wont because that will mean the Kiwi's will win which is just as bad as the poms winning.

mock 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 I'd rather watch paint dry or grass grow Feel the same about Baseball..........and American football (only the Americans would have the insulsity to call it football, or to call a baseball series the World Series with only one country playing) too
ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Only 9 hours to go until the 1st Ashes test begins. Bell has been cleared to play for England which is important for them. ykickamoocow 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 I think the battle cry bit is Welsh? Can anyone tell me where it came from? All hail the Benaud! And the Great Geoffrey Boycott! They are truly gods amoung men. I also think Phil Tufnell might make a appearance or two in the commentary box this summer which should prove interesting. monza gorilla 1 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Can anyone tell me where it came from? It's definitely of Welsh or Cornish origin and should be Oggi Oggi Oggi Oi Oi Oi! It's a chant still used a lot at rugby matches over here. Taken over as a sort of catchphrase by the woefully unfunny Welsh "comedian" Max Boyce in the 70s.
