The latest two world champions get the most votes.

Might it have to do more with the age of the voters that the actions of the drivers?

Most likely. Prost was rather polite and Senna, well you do not speak ill of the dead.

Michael killed Hill and Montoya. Sent them packing, running to mummy. Made Damon grey. Made Juan turn to comfort burgers and N.A.S.(Not A Sport)CAR.

With his best cheat-driving techniques. :clap3:

There is good reason to vote Alonso

Hamilton believes that one of the key areas where he has lost out to Alonso is in the set-up direction he has taken in recent races.

"Usually Fernando and I have similar set-ups, and more often than not it is the set-up I found from tests," he explained.

"I do the first day and a half, find a set-up and then Pedro (de la Rosa) or Fernando turn up and drive my car. Then they either like it or make some changes to it.

"So then we go to a race and we have got a very similar set-up or they have tweaked it a little bit. At the last race especially I went somewhere else on my set-up, thinking it was the right way and we were wrong.

"It was miles apart and, although I was not that far off his times, I feel that if my set-up was a lot further in the other direction it would have been a lot better.

"When you go through the Friday tests you haven't got much time to change it, or take big risks, so you go into qualifying and you are stuck with what you have got. You can't always get it right, and I definitely didn't get it right in the last races."

Not only does he have the other Spaniard, Pedro, in his back pocket but he has also tried bribing team members to aid his cause.

Not impressed

You make an interesting point, but MS was always going to be the winner of this ridiculous pole.

As for Alonso, he has shown some revealing colours this season under pressure from his teammate, I think he is a lot like Michael in many ways.

The only other driver who should have more votes is Senna in my opinion.

Ya. But the biggest difference between Schumi and Alonso is FIA supports. Alonso got penalised whenever possible and Schumi got away with light punishment and sometimes totally no punishment.

Don't mistake FIA incompetence for favouratism, Michael did get punished - like Monaco last year and other times.

No matter anyway, both are unsporting regardless of punishments.

Schumi Monaco 06 cheat that screwed up the whole Q3 has brought F1 into deep disrepute. That punishment (start from dead last) doesn't fit his crime. He got away very lightly.

It dissrupted the dying seconds of Q3. He didn't bring the sport into disrepute. The punishment did fit the crime. He got punished heavily and correctly. It contributed to him losing the title.

There. I can be objective about my hero.

Why do you respond to the puss that emanates from his syphilis infected clap trap?

The only good thing about today's race is that now I can vote for Hamilton here...

He isn't champion yet, and you really think his restarts were that bad? Personally I dislike when drivers take each other out, or block people in qualifying.

I really didn't find it that bad... I hate whining drivers the most....

It's part of an experiment. Though, it's not working.

You hate Hamilton, I suppose.

At least as much as you hate Alonso.

If someone from McLaren did that I think he would be banned for years.:lol::lol:

Lewis could be champion, and he's certainly not the most modest bloke in the world. Anyone else read the article where he was saying what he was thinking in the last few laps?

"Driving in the wet, leading and doing a last lap thinking of some of the races that Senna was in and Prost -- it sort of made me feel that I'm on my way to achieving something similar to them."

Come on, man. It's your first season. Be humble or people will hate you.

Nah Hammy is good kid, getting a bit arrogent nowdays but if he improves and doesn't whine when things go wrong, hes fine... A test of a man's character is when things go wrong not when everything is going smooth...

Alonso whiens too much, however i still admire his driving skills

schumi....

alonso is on this list too...but his situation is - he is driver no . 2 to lewis which made his actions see bad...and fisi in renault was not competitive at all....if alonso wanted to be rated one in this thread then he needs to bang on lewis the next two races... i.e., he spoils lewis chances by suiciding himself colliding on him ...and he may give chances for kimi to take the champshp

Surely, that is something that can only be done if you are ahead on points? I can think of no situation in which it would be preferable to him to ruin Lewis' chances and gift Kimi, unless I am missing something. Not that I think he is capable of such an act in the first place, mind you.

it cud happen

may be it wud be interesting if lewis gets in contact with massa, kubica or even anyone from back of grid....

( i didnt mention kimi because to some extent i believe he never pushes to hard to crash some one...if fact he even avoided collision from lewis a race back)
