LabradoRacer 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Saw "Memento". What a marvellous piece of cinema!!! Truly, BAD(British-American Director) Christopher Nolan is a genius. Watching his movie is like unravelling a maddening puzzle. He's simply out of this world. I hope I'll be able to catch "Insomnia" too. I don't understand how my pals like Bollywood turd. Hell,Bollywood & its southern variants are the s##ttiest s##t ever shat. I wish I could kill eveyone associated with Indian cinema. Indian cinema sucks. Not only do they are skilled enough to come up with bad cinema, they are also talented in ripping off Hollywood & international hits scene for scene. And they don't even pay the royalty or whatever that is called. I mean ,for example, Martin Scorcese made a legit remake of "Infernal Affairs". Here , these guys think being honest is a sign of being daft. It simply irritates me to see the jingoistic Indian media constantly touting Bollywood as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 I went to see Harry Potter yesterday. Its good, but if you've read the book (like i did) you might be a little disappointed because a lot of stuff is cut out (they cant fit all of it into a 2hour film). Definately worth seeing though. Saw fantastic 4, crap. Watched Hot Fuzz on DVD, loved it, very funny! and its filmed about 20 mins drive away from where I live. Also watched Ghost Rider (not bad but far from great), and Dreamgirls (yawn)

Max Mosley 2 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Hmm haven't heard of her either Bruce! What rock have I been living under I wonder? Anyway, as Jay says, Memento is a great film. It will definitely stand a few repeats.

I watched 30 minutes of Dreamgirls before I said, "Look, I'll sleep on the couch tonight if you just let me leave!" to my gf. Another recent movie I enjoyed was Pirates 3. It had 300 chances to end, but it didn't, and that's really my only complaint. It was violent and funny and it was a good night out. I was pleased. It was long, but it had every right to be, because it was good.

You a fan of Zalman King's movies? I remember having seen this movie a long time back. It was passed off as a soft porn movie by the seedy theatre. I remember a few scenes. One scene had a black man f*cking a white chick. That camera was facing the black's back. One of the initial scenes had a topless dancer taking a male viewer's spectacles & fitting them on her breasts & then shaking her breasts ,all the time laughing. I found that scene funny. I don't remember much more.

Jez 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 I saw Transformers today. Besides the obvious cheesy hollywood aspects of the film, I have to say I quite enjoyed it. The animation is second to none, and well worth seeing. I suggest to anyone who's thinking of seeing it, to check it out while it's on the big screen. Those robots are awesome honestly! The quality of computer animation these days is spectacular!

Autumnpuma 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 Saw Harry Potter last night and enjoyed the film. I read the books and find that, while most novel-to-film adaptations suck, the Potter films stick pretty close to the books. I don't think the main actors have aged well, though. Emma Watson's aging quite well ... Couple more years and she'll be legal. And if the "boozing" photos of her that are floating around aren't fakes, we may have our next member of the Paris/Britney/Lindsay club... Of course, everyone knows that British kids aren't as out of control as American kids.
Max Mosley 2 Report post Posted July 20, 2007 I assume that's sarcasm of the Yankee variety? Yeah I agree Emma's aged by far the best. You can judge for yourself about Daniel Radcliff in London theatres where he was recently acting stark naked...

Well, I think it goes without saying.
