It all makes sense in "Maure-world" :)

All remains incomprehensible to Meanioni on this world....

No he won because he hit the wall, meaning hit pits gets some fuel on allowing him to later come in at the right moment for slicks. The safety car getting him right up there again made the error completely nulled out and a total positive in the end. Massa being terrifically slow also helped his efforts.

Hamilton's hit-and-pit was timely, that's for sure, and so it was the safety car...

Damn, the FIA are good, you've rumbled them Maure - the FIA sniper who took out Hamilton's tyre on the right lap, followed by the pre-planned remote controlled wrecking of another car at a critical moment, bringing out the safety car....

And in the next race, the FIA are actually reconstructing the race track inside a disused aircraft hangar (proving that the moon landings were indeed a fake) to give them more control and after the success of "dogs on track" will introduce other random events under their control, such as elephant dung on the starting line, Pamela Anderson's bikini top exploding in the line of sight of drivers as they round the first bend and a UFO landing on the final corner. :D

Oh yeah and blah, blah, blah, Hamilton, blah.... :)

Maure is doing his usual thing. All I care about is that Lewis did a good job and Kimi and Alonso didn't. Plus Kubica surely made himself more attractive to Ferrari at Alonso's expense.

We are all happy then.

I'm looking forward to seeing Alonso in BMW better than in Ferrari.

Agreed, with NH falling off the pace, there may be a seat for Alonso at BMW. Pairing him with Kubica, would be good for both of them.

BMW with Bob as a team mate would not be that attractive for nando IMHO - Bob has many years experience with the team and is very fast, Lewis Hamilton fast

I can't see Fernando fitting in at BMW or Ferrari. Or anywhere that isn't Renault really. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean Renault looks to be the team best suited to his way of driving/working/thinking.

Yes I agree, but Ferrari would be the next best fit for him, because BMW won't run a team around him. Imho staying at Renault is no good for him because they won't be winning anything in the foreseeable future. Therefore his medium term plan ought to be to replace Kimi at Ferrari. I did predict before the season that Alonso's best days are behind him, and I still suspect that's the case. It all depends on his getting to Ferrari, and having a relatively weak team mate.

Alonso is still a good driver. Give him a good car and he will win in it. Even with all the trouble at Mclaren he ended up with the same amount of points as Hamilton.

He clearly is showing his worth to Renault. Ya Monoco wasn't his greatest achievement, but he was sure trying.

BMW don't need to build a team around him. Just give him a good car, and he will put it in the points with the best of them.

He is a good driver, but as a package he is a handful. All the nonsense last year did not help his stock.

I think that his move to Renault was a bad one, better to have sat out this year and let the memories of last year fade. F1 is very fickle and they tend to judge people on their recent performances. There's too much competition coming up and if he's not careful as the year progresses his dissatisfaction with Renault will start to come out, he'll say a few silly things and his prospects of moving will diminish further.

Potentially another Villeneuve situation where he could end up driving in mid-field teams or moving to another series.

I can see that happening. Kimi retires, Robert in at the Suderia, Fernando in at BMW and Nick moves to Renault.

I'm thinking more of a swap between Nick and Fernando.

Fernando is a awesome driver but as you say is his own worst enemy when it all boils down.

Fernando knows that he would have been best suited to stay at McLaren in a perfect world, but the sitauation was that bad as it all turns out, that it just wasn't ever going to happen. Fernando has managed to keep his comments reasonable, disregarding some of the comments made pre Spanish GP, due to interpertation mis understandings.

If he loses his cool with Renault of all teams, then sadly he will be seen as spent force and no team manager will be signing Fernando anytime soon.

To see Fernando fall into the same traps that JV did would be a shame to us the fans. Fernando is better than that.

In hindsight of the yellow flag issues it would be between Kubica and Webber.
