Delighted again for Button & can't stop thinking what Ben & jem feel like as I'm sure he'll be a WDC contender but we'll see cos it's only the 1st race!

I was so happy that yesterday I brought a large selection of cakes into work so that all my colleagues could celebrate with me! I told them I'll do the same thing every time Jenson wins this year

exactly, and Kuby made the wrong choice, I think both of them mucking it up should be penalty enough.

Indeed.

That's cool. You'll have them praying for a Jenson WDC in no time!

Do I detect common sense? On TotalF1? Surely not

Kubica may have had his sights on Button but to catch and pass him in three laps.

I think not.

Unless Button made a mistake under pressure.

That's not at all obscure in Europe...

D'oh. I know you probably mean something other than centimetres.

STOP! Button is new (old) Hamilton - how dare you imply that a new (old) British wonderboy would make any mistakes?

He was four seconds behind with four laps to go and still had Vettel as a buffer.

That would have been some mistake then.

he was about 0.1 seconds from NOT having Vettel as a buffer.

Anyhew, other than the British press (already PO'd at Kubica for last year almost preventing Hamigod from getting WDC) and Schumacher (who, I believe, has some connection to Vettel) most experts either find no fault with either Kubica or Vettel, blame them equally, or assign more blame to Vettel. I said from the beginning it was just a racing accident, but I'll be damned to let all bunch of pseudo-experts put blame completely on Kubica for this.

Oh, BTW, has any one of you heard what a "racing line" is? Because that's what Kubica followed.

Agree 100% Kubica had no problem with having better rubber etc and could've taken him at the next corner or later, It twas a truly WTF moment, but will the nose learn from his blunder? Maybe the nose was the problem as maybe he's blind out of his right eye(sure drove that way), and couldn't see past his nose with his left. .and before anyone gits there tit in a wringer I've got a fairly large one also.

I think Kubica was a little hasty myself. He would have got by on the next straight but you can't blame either driver for attacking or defending a podium place.

Racing incident.

This.

Oh I don't doubt that he followed the racing line; just a shame for him that there happened to be another car in the middle of it :D

Racing line? I think that's where Vettel was, right on the apex, with nowhere to go. Can't blame Bob for following his nose, I guess.

Not this again. When was the last time you admitted a mistake by Kubica? We all have our favourite drivers- it's not a crime to defend them :P

centi-Mole?

Good guess- but it's a Centimorgan- a unit of genetic distance.

I found a great one the other day- the Beard-Second. It's a measurement of length defined as the distance the average physicist's beard grows during a second. This is a genuine unit which you can use google or yahoo to convert- try it!

By implication this means a Beard is a unit of speed- thus I measured that my car has a maximum speed of approximately 14 billion beards.

I didn't have much on that day as you can probably tell.

One of my favourite units is Furlongs per Fortnight.

My car's maximum speed is 285,000 Furlongs per Fortnight :)

I know that one!!! :D
