Expect Stefan GP to be shoe-horned unto the grid by Bernie with Ralf S, [he's only 34 - he's rubbish but only 34!] and Sato, who is certifiable but sponsored. Pedro of the rose is on the grid, so I have ceased to be shocked. Ralf did give Montoya a run for his money once. I think they should hire Alonso, Pedro of the rose, Nigel Stepney, Mike Coughlan, Flavio as team principle to create the most nefarious F1 outfit ever, they will have all bases covered - espionage, weapons smuggling, skullduggery, bad taste in fashion, perjury, fixing.. Or Stefan GP can go nationalistic and hire somebody like Milos Pavalovic. Just 'cause he's Serbian. Go Jacques! Grand Prix racing was always about "espionage, weapons smuggling, skullduggery, bad taste in fashion, perjury, fixing". He IS Mr Debt himself, so personally, I don't see how somebody who is in a tonne of debt and a person who has left A1GP to die on it's sorry arse can be argued to be a competent front runner for Campos... No serious team would miss a single race and it is clearly designed to allow Compost and USF***all to get their act together. Who cares if they do? Well, Bruno Senna will probably sue if they don't and Dallara will go for Meta's throat. Toxic Tony T obviously doesn't have any readies and the North Carolina mob are in deep trouble too. I say, chuck them out, let Stefan in and encourage VW to come in next year. Get real Bernie! If five teams opted out for a race he have the TV companies all over him! A cretinous move. Insider 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2010 £13m for a Renault pay drive! Hell's teeth - I believe the team's total F1 budget wasn't much more than that on re-entry as a competitor in 2003! Petrov's Dad and some of his mates have put a raft of property up as collateral to fund this massive loan. Unfortunately, the folding stuff hasn't been forthcoming, as I write. Borrowing money in Russia is clearly a precarious exercise. I remember the 'Vyborg Rocket' when He raced in Formula Renault 2000 in 2003. He has always looked at least ten years older than he is. I'm not surprised if his Father operates his affairs like this! Vitaly is quick and I can't understand why some major Russian brand hasn't signed him up before now but they are very slow on the uptake when it comes to World market expansion. The only real alternative Renault seem to have is Bruno Senna. Nick won't pay to drive but Nakajima could bring his Panasonic connections into play. There again, £13m is a big ticket to ride.
