Now that we've had a chance to see the new cars on track and how they're performing, i think we can post an updated prediction of the order in which teams are going to finish. Here's mine (based on testing, comments from drivers, team bosses etc):

Mclaren

Ferrari

BMW

Renault

Honda

Toyota

Red Bull

Williams

STR

Super Aguri

Spyker

My predictions seem to have been a curse to honda. Ahh well. I suppose im going to have to celebrate them finishing top 10 every race. I think they will struggle to even get points now.

Dont worry, you do get used to being happy with top 10 finnishes. I got used to being happy last season when the RB2 managed to get into the top 10 and im sure you will get used to being happy for top 10 finnishes this season.

Here are my manufacturers predictions made on 16 Jan 2006 for the 2006 season. You can also go read in the same thread that I said Alonso would win the drivers.

For the record my Manufacturer predictions (as of Jan 2006... These might change slightly prior to Bahrain).

1. Renault(Dont ever under estimate them)

2. Ferrari (Similar comment to Renault)

3. Mclaren (Just need to sort out the engines)

4. BAR (Ummm)

5. Toyota (Need to sort out the drivers)

6. BMW Sauber (Team for the future, will surprise this year)

7. Williams (Will NOT improve from last year when switching Bmw for Cosworth)

8. Red Bull (SO so)

9. Torra Rossa (Red Bull should use this money on their main team)

10. Aguri (Honda wasting big time money here)

11. Midland F1 (Cant see them improving from where they ended last year)

Switch Bmw & Toyota around and I had it spot on... Damn Im good!!!

Have you noticed how many are saying that Bmw Sauber will do better than they first thought?

With such an "ordinary car" this is a surprise to me.

Of course this is just testing and things could be very different come the first race.

When you look at the amount of interest in the Launches forum, the last post was on the 22nd of January, yet its potentially the third best car on the grid?

Interesting, hope its a fair assessment.

Ps with the testing, I heard the times were set with a heavy fuel load (good sign) but the hydraulic system is not yet bullet proof (bugger).

Funny people underestimate massa, i remember last year people were saying he is there to fill the gap for one year and look what happend massa is fighting for num 1 position in ferrari. At test FM is looking stronger than KR and i think we will all see that in the season.

Also dont expect Mclaren to do anything, just because alonso joined them 3 months ago dosn't mean they will be class of the field. Mclaren's got 2 new drivers and both of them need to adjust to bridgestones and the new team.

Honda crap again as allways

Toyota lets not even go there

BMW look good so far i think they will be fighting for 3rd with Renault

I predicted all of it, Lewis beating Alonso, Massa right up there with Raikkonen, even the spy scandal. I even managed to predict that Mosley would act like a c#ck, James Allen would fall in love with Lewis, Honda would be s##t - again, and that Michael Schumacher wouldn't score any points. Honest.

If only I'd been a member of this forum back then.
