goferrarigo 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 this mexican guy was the main key to get fernando there. he really gave them A LOT of money. Yeah. He is rumored to be the richest guy in the world, depending on the stock market... Both Bill gates and Carlos have about 66mil extra cash....

aussief1 4 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 The Heikki rumour is that if he doesn't get the McLaren seat, he will end up forcing Trulli out at Toyota. Yeah I read that yesterday. It would be a shame for Jarno to be sacked, I'm of the opinion that he has a season or two of competitiveness left in him. I'm not sure if a Timo and Heikki line up will be the best for Toyota development wise either, they need a line up who can give them accurate feedback especially in the light of the proposed aero changes and possibility of the reintroduction of slicks for 2009. Heikki and Timo will be alright but nowhere near as good as Jarno. No mention of Toyota's current test driver Kamui Kobayashi either because he is less experienced than Timo and Heikki. Would be a shame to see the good old Trulli Train no more. People tends to focus too much on new super quick drivers. Teams know better and usually keep an old fox with lost of experience and generousity. Those are as invaluable as the new kid on the block. Nowadays there's a surplus of brilliant drivers from other categories. They kick a## at some minor category and everybody thinks they will just get into an F1 car and drive. After all we all know F1 sucks today, right? Wrong. F1 cars are still monsters. Get aboard a FIndia car without F1 experience and you will probably crash before exiting the pits. F1 needs the old guys. Mostly the friendly ones. Jarno and Fisi may not be the best drivers around. But they could be the best teachers.

angie 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 (marca)His relationship with the french team has been much more complex than what people can imagine and wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the economical help of the mexican multimillionaire Carlos Slim. It was done last november 15th with the condition to have Nelsinho Piquet in the team, as his teammate. This money compensate the lost sponsoring from Mild Seven, another problem to his return to the french team. I think this explains why renault dropped kovalainen... but some people rushed to say that he was too quick for fernando.... P.S thanks for the article, katy! elgo 1 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 Sign my petition for Heikki! Sign my petition for him to have the name changed to Bob Smith, too! Sign me a hefty check, while at it. I refuse to sign that petition.Besides, everyone knows that he has no options,as Yuji Ide is going to race alongside Hamilton and Heikki's name will still be Brian. On the other hand, pass me that check... +1 agree.Would be a shame to see the good old Trulli Train no more. People tends to focus too much on new super quick drivers. goferrarigo 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 yeah but fisi spun too Yeah, Spinning isn't bad, probably got caught at a bad piece of track... Alonso crashed at Monza(i think) this year, doesn't mean Mclarens were bad, or he was bad... even he just caught the wrong end of the track and it caused his accident... kiko01 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Yeah, Spinning isn't bad I like this sentence, i'm going to write these wise words in a t-shirt (if you don't mind) and i'm going to use it each time i go karting I'm really glad Fernando is back to Renault even when it means he's not going to be WDC next year for sure (Kimi is going to win his second WDC easily)
