james 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 The reason why SC are a problem is because they mess with the racing order and produce random results. Cannot be any other way because they are deployed when there is danger on the track. This race, the SC was bent on keeping the racing order despite carnage on the track. The first time is was delayed beyond reason while the second time it was deployed at the speed of light. You explain it. Maybe Brawn just has some really nice friends. Well, to be honest Kubica's and Vettel's crash looked way more worse than Kazuki's but that's just my opinion so don't quote me on it. Truly, what an stupid end..(for them I mean)
Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 Nick Fry has an annoying voice. This will be the worst thing about Brawn winning every bollocking race this year.
foxtrot023 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 Well, that was interesting 1. Well done to Brawn GP 2. Lets see how the chips will fall in the pecking order once all teams field the diffuser 3. Ferrari had a deja vu of last year 4. Good drive by Hamilton and Alonso, both without the diffuser 5. Kubica and Vettel made it interesting, but both should be smacked for doing what they did- till that moment they had done a brilliant job

Ikyrotz 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 I guess Hamilton is the DOD. Based on just live timing, I might still give DOD to either Vettel or Kubica, though perhaps the accident in the end was such a bad mistake on both their parts that they can't be considered for that anymore. Hamilton and Barrichello appeared to just be incredibly lucky. RB more or less screwed his race and got to 2nd anyway, Hamilton drove well, getting himself to around 8-10th spot, everything above that appeared to be more due to luck. Kimi was gonna be 2nd (given all that happened) but screwed himself. In the end he just seemed to save his engine. Before his brainfart he appeared to be quite fast though, so perhaps Ferrari has some hope with race pace still, even if not with quali pace. Massa was driving ok, though it appears Ferrari was keeping him very light all the time up to his last pit stop, given how much later Kimi came to his stop, so in the end, even without technical difficulties he wouldn't have fought for the podium. Too bad his car broke down. Button drove securely, so I think in the end I will give my DOD to him, given that a month ago nobody would've thought he would be able to lead from start to finish. Kubica and Vettel made it interesting, but both should be smacked for doing what they did- till that moment they had done a brilliant job pretty much what I wanted to say but... 2. I think the other teams will catch Williams and maybe Toyota easily enough, but BGP seem to have a few other tricks up their sleeve - it's not only the diffuser as many seem to think, it's a fast bloody car too. 5. I think it was pretty much a racing incident. They'll both regret it, but they'd both do it again - that's racing. plus 6. Well done Buemi - nice to see a competant drive from a rookie. Did well for his point.
freaky2 1 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 I want to know how Trulli got to third, I didn't see him overtake a lot so either he was on an amazing strategy (with the obvious safety car luck) or he can do magic... so yeah, after I know about him I'll think about a DOD. UrKo 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 I have to say i enjoyed the race today...Big congrats to Brawn GP and its drivers...Button did a fantastic job so did Rubnes..despite the hits he made )... Im very pleased to see Mclaren strugelling...Hami had some luck to get to 4th place but i guess copy/paste the car setup from last year ain't possible anymore for him ).... Reno seems to be in trouble...especially seeing alonso strugelling behind Fisi in first stint. Hope they'll fix the car and would be cool to see him in front again... As for Kubica and Vettel...damn, why he couldn't wait another corner to pass him?? But it was a racing incident so in my book both are to blame. Offtopic: Thanks for the b.day wishes..i know im not posting much, but hopefully will be here more now..and also best wishes to all that had b.day and i didnt reply.. Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 Looks like Vettel really is the new Schumi, he made a mistake under pressure and then refused to yield his position. Racing incident though, he was clearly struggling under braking and Kubi also squeezed him. They both let their ego get in the way of good sense, next time Kubi will probably think twice about passing my boy Vettel though.
Ayrton Senna 1 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 I don't give it to Button because Brawn is clearly miles ahead of their oponents. So ahead that even Barrichello, one of the worst drivers on the grid today, managed to arrive 2nd. Button's win was boring and highly predictable at the first turn. Hamilton had luck, but he started 18th and was very mature all race. The only driver who could take it from him in my opinion is Kubica, who was driving brilliantly until the collision with Vettel. I think Kubica had less fault (if any) than Vettel, but I don't give it to him simply because he tried to make the next turn at full speed without the front wing. What the hell was he thinking? Jean Todt 4 Report post Posted March 29, 2009 Nice race, two months back I couldn't imagine the guys who took the 1-2 would even race in F1 this season. Patience pays off I guess. Good drive by Lewis and Alonso, yes they were lucky, but they made their own luck, no? Nice to see a non diffuser team like Ferrari all the way up...but not nice to see they are still not reliable and Kimi is still looking for his Mojo. Kimi, stay awake man...you can win this WDC this year.
