Dribs - Can you really imagine that? I'd rather blow a hole in my TL with a sawn off than waste my quids on a pair of f*ckwits and a has-been caucasian Sh#tbell boy trying to be a negro.

Chris - I guess so. Well pointed out.

I am sick and ****ing tired of hearing about Sh#tty stuff happening to good people.

Why? Is it like there is some magnet that says "Right, lets p**s you off today-I know, lets f*ck about with your life a little and laugh'

I kid you not. It breaks my heart, and makes me so angry. Yet rapists, paedophiles and murderers still live on, in relative luxury while our tax money allows this to happen.

......I hate this. All I can say is if that God does exist, he better get off his fat ****ing arse and sort it now. I would give anything to make it alright.

Well. Here's the ranty crazy woman back again!

I thought I'd let you guys know. I spoke to Chris AKA Grabthaw AKA Meanioni on MSN last night.

Chris has decided to leave TF1. The main reason was of the standard of F1 we seeing. He's fell out of love with it a little.

The second reason is hard to be diplomatic about but I'm sure those with the brainpower to use it will know.

I know for a fact that I will miss him on here. And hopefully will change his mind. We've lost a good soul and F1 has lost a great fan.

Chris. I hope you do return. Right now, go treat Carol and your kids. Don't work too hard. You're still getting a Birthday thread!

Hmm, I hope it's a temporary protest. I remember leaving here a few years back because I got accused of being rude and a bit gay looking. I told them all to go f*ck themselves, tightened my neck tie and minced to the pub.

Personally, I think F1 is in rude health. The racing is far from the glory days but it's not been bad and things are wide open. I rather think the second reason is more fundamental but a little lame. Truth is, this site needs a balance of individuals. Chris's light heartedness is a welcome diversion from others who tend to take life a little more serious. Neither is wrong but both are necessary.

Same for Eric. Eric's left once again after he's said he's lost interest in Formula One.

You, gay looking?? Rude, most definitely yes but your not gay looking! By far the prettiest bloke on the forum. ;)

But all you say I agree with. And I'm sorry to hear about Eric too, James. Say hi from me. I hope he does return.

People leave. Often for the slightest of slights. Which is a shame. I think the good bits outweigh the idiots. So I stay.

I'm confused as to what's going on but I agree with that, I think. Chris is a great guy and as I tried to show in the debate thread, I muchly appreciate his cheekiness, and his buns puns.

I'd hazard a guess that some recent events on here have more to do with Chris leaving than the state of F1, but only a guess, done hazard-like. I've no doubt Chris will lurk and return again, he's like a pint of Guinness..... ;)

Maybe if people would talk as though they were face to face with the other poster we'd see a different atmosphere - but it's a forum, so no point dwelling on stuff that isn't going to happen. Maybe the fact that a virtually un-moderated forum has been a great place to be, is also its biggest downfall? Say laaa veee.

Agreed with Steve: F1 is in a great state, it's just the audience that's changed  I'm a lucky sod, I still get a buz when I watch any in-car shot of them driving up the hill in Monaco, the gobsmacking changes of direction as they turn into the faster corners, the up-skirt shots we get at Valencia, and Brundle/Coulthard trying not to call Eddie Jordan the feckwit he is :P

I don't see anything bad with F1. Every year is F1 most atrocious year and then a few years later we look back at that same season and say "ahhh, those were the days!". That is the way it is.

The second reason: I have no idea what happened. I guess something happened between him and some other member of the forum. Can't add anything because I don't know what happened.

In any case, I won't beg you to come back Meanie Weenie (yes, I know you will read all this...who can resist? It's like being able to see who goes to your own funeral and hear all the eulogies :P) Come back when you actually enjoy it.

I think the exact opposite! This place has gradually gotten more and more sanitised and therefore less and less interesting.

Perhaps I misunderstand but I can only assume Chris was annoyed about that 'F1 debate' thread being too heavily moderated, rather than the rest of the forum being too lightly moderated? If so, I strongly agree with him and tried to show it politely at the time.

It's true that some other threads since then have gotten a little aggressive... but imho the key words would be 'a little'. I don't understand why people are complaining about the 'Hahahahaha' thread being too raucous - to me that was the most interesting F1 thread all season and the tone from all posters seemed perfectly amiable.

Folks like Cav and Jay are sometimes criticised for not being child- or Alonso-fan-friendly but imho they make some of the best posts around. :P Without them we wouldn't have half as many interesting debates.

I think the exact opposite! These rules are awful imho. :P

Seriously, Muzza, I hope you are wrong here. Otherwise I might loose my diplomatic language and just kick some whinning asses around here.

Hadn't thought that old chap - haven't seen a mod getting stuck in for a while now. But it's no surprise you think the opposite of moi, having one more brain cell than my three must help ^_^

Ah, you made a connection! I didn't, I was just waffling talking in general terms. Thouhg 'that' thread got a little child like imho - only for the reason I mentioned a the time.... amazing cases of kettles, pots and black. But, these things happen.

Haven't read too much of the tittering thread tbh, but interesting you should mention Cav and Jay in particular - I've never seen a contentious comment from Jay, he seems to make it clear he couldn't possible be taken seriously! Cav, well, he seems to like being right, winding people up and calling them stupid, which kinda hides any good stuff he might post

Yeah, pain in the bum I agree. But I'm hopeful ze leettle french guy will tidy things up.

I probably am wrong since I know nothing about this. And I didn't mean to single you out as the moderator of that thread - I was talking about the general reaction from lots of people to lighthearted posts from lots of other people in that thread. Tbh that thread reminded me of the Stanford prison experiment! And also my high school Young Enterprise project - some people get very keen about organising things and other people are less keen, and that causes tensions. The other issue is that it seems to me that all sorts of people have been overly sensitive recently!

Never mind my 5 brain cells, I just don't like moderation in general. And so as you can imagine, I like Cav's fiery posts. Like you say, it's obvious Jay means no harm.

About the rules, I can't imagine they're going to get better without my man Max. He was the brains behind them!

For some, that thread was more like Abu Ghraib

I like this place virtually un-moderated. Its best kept that way. Then Bruce can chase skirt more and E-cap can take lots more photos.

Sanitised? You're all a dirty bunch of pervy sex obsessed maniacs with the exception of a few. And I'm just as bad. So is that Tanita, you know! :P

If you want to make it more interesting then go post your photo's of your orgy. Not the nazi one. The taliban one.

Murphy's law 7.12b: First to say "I didn't do it", did it

I like it unmodded too, the inmates have ruled the asylum too long to change now.

Great to see you firing on all fours cylinders again girlie, really great news ;) And when you talk to Chris on MSN, tell him I still love him, and can I have his email address? And no, it's not to enrol him in (even more) porn sites, I'd just like to keep in touch. Ta!
