dribbler 6 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 Aren't you a bundle of joy today. Statement, not question. Sorry, but most of the worlds problems aren't difficult to sort out, they just require decisions to be made that are unpopular with humans. And I'm not ignoring you, I have a hedge to trim that has become some sort of triffid. If I don't control it now it will control me forever. I'll be at Mikey's on saturday, if you are. BradSpeedMan 6 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 Chris/John, I will reply to you later at home when I got time. But I am confused about that sort of inner circle you mention because I think I spend quite a lot of time around the Forum and yet I fail to see it. I've noticed an "Inner Circle" composed of the older/most contributive members but that has been always the case and you guys were part of it, and it was a natural thing, not something done on purpose to keep the new peeps apart, albeit it works like it. Some people have jumped right into the inner circle with just a few posts (I am thinking about Senna's Ghost, with his high quality posts, or David/Persevere) and other people took quite a long time to become part of it (I've been posting for many months before I felt "one of the guys" here, even though I was welcome since the beginning) I am not sure what you mean. You've touched on something that's been on my mind for some while now. I've also noticed this "inner circle" and are aware of who they are. I'm glad you mentioned it cause I was worried it was only me. Then they turn on members who've been here long and are just being their impressive selves, when they have'nt been here that long (and I'm not refferring to you Andres, you are quite unbiased). It's like those suck-ups at this previous job I worked at, I abolutely hated it, I left the job because of it. Purely rhetorical folks.

Ok, I understand you guys are polite enough not to give names, but I still fail to see this inner circle you keep talking about. I think there must be some misunderstanding about this inner circle thing? If you could PM me about this perhaps we might clarify things? Maybe all this is just a huge misunderstanding and things can be worked out?

Rainmaster 7 Report post Posted May 20, 2010 I can't see much examples of an "inner circle" either. Although I do see some "forum politics" sometimes, where it seems certain people agree with somebody else just because of who said it, rather than what was said (e.g. they would take a harsher tone on a newbie if they said it). I think that's just a completely natural thing, though. The only inner circle I see is a group of people who have posted longer and/or contribute more/higher quality posts to the forum. Even in that rather large section of posters, there are plenty of different friendship groups just like you would find in a normal, face to face group of people who know each other, and plenty of times there are arguments between those "friends" too just as in "real" life. I think there must be some misunderstanding about this inner circle thing? If you could PM me about this perhaps we might clarify things? Maybe all this is just a huge misunderstanding and things can be worked out? Inner Circle did a good tune with Good Life a few years back. Anyway. I'm sick of this Sh#t and if I have to be the bad guy, **** it. You can't bully me cause I'm still all bandaged up anyway. Naming names. Well, i know for a fact have always got along especially well with Chris and Steve. ****ing sue me. I'm quite diverse and will enjoy banter with all of you guys. Its not the inner Circle which is a problem. Cav, I do not know you personally. But you irritate the Sh#t out of me. You insult people and then accuse people of insulting you. You like to post fast, rough and hard. Well grow a pair of ****ing balls and expect to be ****ed twice as hard back. **** the personal insult Sh#t. Nobody cares. I'm not perfect either. I get days when I bring my anger here, and I know thats wrong. I purposely look for a fight or argument sometimes and thats screwed up. I don't like you when you go on about being personally attacked. We all come across it. You and I when I first came here were at each others throats and even then you could be a whiny little bitch. I wasn't much better but I've learned this is a forum, expect some Sh#t. Give some, take it back. Thats the rule of the world. I like you when you post rough and don't accuse of personal insults. A couple of months ago you were really nice to me when my Dad died. You left me a lovely offline message. I don't expect that Cav all the time, the arrogance is great, the whining bitch bit isn't. Now, its your turn to say '**** you too you stupid bitch'. Don't whine. Just either ignore me or lets get on with it. Shields. I'm sorry but your constant barrage of Michael-bashing is getting on my nerves. Find something else to talk about and stop being so ****ing single minded. Yes. I'm an absolute bitch. But I will never lie to you. The lot of you may as well stop skirting around each other now. I've made my peace and feel so much better. Cav, like I said. I only know your forum psyche. In life, I have no idea what you are like. But if you ever come to England stay the **** away from me. Lol. I'm kidding. Really. From facebook you are well travelled, educated and seem like a nice enough bloke. But your forum psyche, I want to slap it stupid and sell it on eBay as a stuffed item. yurp 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2010 3) The debate thread. A good idea. Not my personal cup of tea, but I respect it is a good idea – like most of Steph’s and I had no intention of disrupting it. Some of you mistook the pre-debate banter for me disagreeing with the concept or trying to knacker it. No. It was just me being me as I am in all threads and I have to say that many of you were being way,way too over-sensitive. For anyone to consider a public electronic forum thread having a “do not step on the grass” sign, it is frankly laughable and naieve. I did as I said I would and did not disrupt it once underway. But really guys, you need to lighten up. Chris - I just read this and I can't tell you how bad it's made me feel. But hey fella - I didn't have any kind of go at you, so I'm not sure why your that upset. I even joked about it as a way to protect my own injured pride. I'm not sure whats so serious here. I must admit that, just as there was a 'defining moment' for you, when Adam replied to Cav with this:....I thought it was a out of order considering the amount of larking about type-threads Adam participated in. Not to mention Cav giving up on the thread purely because no-one was agreeing with him, but, no change there. So, when Cav posted this: ...I just wanted to say, "Yeah, Adam's cock" But then, even though Cav wouldn't mind, it just wouldn't be funny. Anyway, I agree entirely with your 5), and I have to say you make total sense, but that's just between you and I Hang on Meds - I thought I did a pretty good job of taking it all in the best humor I could muster. I accepted that I'd been naive to start the thread too soon (As I wrote in the other thread). I didn't write Cav's comments, he did - I just said 'I hear you', which I did. My 3 word answer concerned the nature of the forum - serious conversations will always get ****ed up for entertainment. As you rightly say, I do it too . It has nothing to do with Chris personally or anyone else. It's just the way it is in a forum. Seriously, your both lovely guys and Chris, I've enjoyed so much of our banter - I'd really hate such a valuable member of TF1 to depart. I'd hate it even more if you were leaving because of me - so I'll just blame Steph instead. PS - It would have been very funny - if more than a little gross. PPS - And if that's part the initiation ceremony into the inner circle count me out.

Persevere 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 OK, here's my rant: WHY THE HELL IS THERE A RULE ABOUT NO PASSING ON THE LAST LAP IF THE SAFETY CAR HAS RUN IT?? WHAT'S THE POINT IN FLAGGING THE TRACK GREEN, PULLING IN THE SAFETY CAR AND NOT LETTING THE DRIVERS RACE?? WHAT THE HELL COULD POSSIBLY BE GAINED BY HAVING SUCH AN ASININE RULE IN PLACE?? THEY SHOULD HAVE ENDED THE RACE UNDER THE SAFETY CAR AND GIVEN MAYLANDER FIRST PLACE!! IS THIS F1 OR KINDERGARTEN?? FOR CRISSAKE, I'M NOT A SCHUMACHER FAN BUT THIS GUTTED THE ONLY MOVE WORTH REMEMBERING FROM THIS SLEEPY THRICE-BEDAMNED RACE!! JEEBUS, I'M GONNA GO WATCH LAWNMOWER RACING. ok, I'm done. cavallino 2 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Not to mention Cav giving up on the thread purely because no-one was agreeing with him, but, no change there. I left because I was accused of calling someone a terrorist. Don't let facts in the way hey, I'll just jump and support me ol' chum Grabclaw the HumptyDumptySlayer, stand up for him through thick and thin - I suddenly understand the point about there being an inner circle. I have had incessant abuse from different people, and none of the inner circle ever stood up for me. I might be rude, abrasive, might say things that are insulting, but I never abuse anyone, there is a line I don't cross. For example I remember dribs leaping to the defence of Steph over a post I made - I have had far worse stuff thrown at me from many people (including Steph), I don't get that inner circle love from him though. I don't particularly care though and it's never going to affect whether I want to stay on here or not. However it is annoying when someone jumps in to a discussion trying to be a guardian angel for their inner circle buddy without knowing anything of the background to the discussion, people can take care of themselves and there are moderators to report any outright abuse to. The 'how dare you speak to my friend like that' kind of posting is just off putting. Mr whoever you are - if you want to leave the forum, good, and I think as you said when you begin to feel you're getting nothing out of posting here, it's best to stop - I have done it myself a few times. Leaving a message accusing someone of being the reason you leave? Childish, immature, pathetic attention seeking behaviour, if you want to leave, do it with some grace. Anyway, just for the record - you're leaving because of me? I don't give a damn. Some people goes crazy when Cav keeps saying calling you stupid I have never called you stupid. In fact I have never called a non-stupid person stupid. (I think that is one of my finest quotable lines ) Anyway, I know some of my posting hasn't been of a very high standard, and which has meant that posts I put a lot more effort in also end up being ignored, so I'll try to do better. Not having to read posts from a certain person has done wonders to my enjoyment of the forum Oh and I have taken TF1 people off all other social sites messngers etc. It's nothing personal, I just decided to keep the two things separate as things I say elsewhere end up being mentioned on here. Kopite Girl 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Cav, I'm just saying it how I saw it. I wouldn't expect it any different from you. None of this inner Circle thing exists, if it does ask yourself why you think you feel a bit alienated. I'm sick of this playground inner circle attitude. It doesn't matter who you are, this is a forum. This is the only forum I know of that is not heavily moderated and is allowed to breathe. We're supposed to be adults. The attitude on here is well if you can give it, ****ing take it. You give your views. To me, they appear wholly fanatically hateful at times. You're going to get some back. Its life. I've been to some forums where everybody was literally licking arse. Me? As unconventional and as **** you to the world mixed it up. I really wasn't popular, but made people think. They were fake. Scared of their own shadow. Would be nice to your face then stab you in the back. So yes. I've slagged you off and called you for everything. But its nothing you haven't heard from me already. I'm not two faced. I'll tell you that you're a twat. But there is likeable qualities about you. So **** off now because you're a twat and I'm confused. Just for the record - I still remember you calling me a dumb bitch and I needed to shut up and I was only a stupid Jenson fan. So you have been outright abusive. You leapt to the defence of narain_fan because, well blatantly honestly he was the worlds biggest twat who had no clue what he was typing half the time. You ARE human, like the rest of us. Don't deny it. Anyway. Life really is too short. I'm not going on about it anymore. I've people I need to justify myself to, loose ends I need to tie up and people I need to know I do care for and need to make amends with. So, no more on this from me.
