Taku 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2005 guys - at least you'll have plenty to complain about next year. i hope davidson is offered the seat above any of the other possible 2nd japanese drivers. it would be a travesty if he wasn't at least offered the drive. Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2005 I read that Adam Carroll is probably going to be Honda's 3rd driver next year. Davidson could be on his way out of f1, which is a shame cos we havent had a chance to see how good/bad he can be as an f1 racer

Senna 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2005 Ide to keep out Davidson? planetf1 Anthony Davidson is, yet again, set to miss out on a race seat, with reports indicating that Formula Nippon racer Yuji Ide will partner Takuma Sato at Super Aguri. The new team is confident they will be permitted to join the grid for the 2006 season, and Sato is regarded as a shoo-in for the first race seat. Although Davidson, his former BAR team-mate, had been considered the favourite to race alongside the Japanese crashaholic, Autosport claims that the team is set to appoint an all-Japanese partnership. Ide would apparently bring valuable sponsorship to the team and is backed by Japanese firm Mobilecast. What the reasoning behind Sato's appointment is, we've no idea. pumpdoc 2 Report post Posted December 30, 2005 Yes, Honda have not been fair to young(ish) Anthony. Indeed not fair at all, plus with Sato living in Monaco I have a hard time seeing the runt being in such favour....
Max Mosley 2 Report post Posted December 30, 2005 I can only hope Ide is as inept as his compatriot. Given that their cars are almost half a decade old arrows they will only be racing each other and Scott Speed (Michael Andretti without the indycar titles?) and so will almost certainly take each other out before threatening anyone else (when they lap them). Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2005 Davidson gave BAR/Honda 4 years loyal service. What does he get in return? Nothing? I hope they at least give him a drive in the Honda IRL team!
nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2005 Honda has treated Anthony atrociously.Sadly that seems to be the case. I'd have thought they'd have learnt their lesson when they dropped JV for Sato, but then again, are we really that surprised considering Honda is, to put it bluntly, setting up this team to keep Sato in F1 and not upset the fans in Japan?I hope they at least give him a drive in the Honda IRL team! that would only add insult to injury. narain fan 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2006 http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_new...es_art_id=26822 Super Aguri announcement on Thursday10/01/2006 Our sources indicate that an announcement on Super Aguri's entry in the 2006 Formula One World Championship could be made by Thursday lunchtime. We understand that following last-minute legal discussions, the issue has only been delayed by the fact that Monday was holiday in Japan. If the Japanese team's entry has been accepted, and by all accounts it will be, the F1 grid will feature more than ten teams for the first time since 2002, when Arrows withdrew halfway through the season

Jem of the Shire 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2006 We've had worse. Sato has been fast sometimes. Remember minardi's 98 line-up of Esteban Tuero and Shinji Nakano. In 98 we also had Ricardo Rosset - now he was PANTS. How about Tarso Marques in 2001 - he was a lot worse than Sato
