He has also caused me to second-guess my involvement in this forum....(Bruce, it's not about being an Alonso fan here, I truly believe that Doornbos was at fault)

ecap, I hope you will reconsider and give it one more chance. Cav is on my ignore list in an effort to cool my temper a bit, I would ask that you do the same, and not leave altogether.

Whoever's fault it may be, but the ultimate scenario is - no-one is getting a punishment for it, so I don't find it necessary to even dispute on that incident. However, losing two guys who've posted over 1000's is completely silly. As a kind gesture, I ask both of you to just ignore some of the posts and keep this forums lively, it would be a big loss for the forums as well and would eventually turn out to be less-intresting, so please guys, respect each others opinions.

I don't think a person's post-count has any bearing on the quality of their posts (mine included). If you make good points then you make them, regardless of post-count. That being said, I have already used the ignore feature after recognizing that Cav and I will never see eye to eye, nor respect each other's opinions. I'll let this be the end of it.

what is alonso's problem, he seems to turn into some psychotic monster when he gets in an f1 car, a monster who thinks he's god and has no care for the safety of others!!

I have sent an apology to ecapdeville, I don't know quite what for however he is (was?) a nice person and it would be a pity to lose him. I am completely clueless about what his beef with me is, I have been a vehement Ferrari supporter for over an year, yet about a couple of months ago, he suddenly developed some kind of an issue with me and started attacking every post I made. I haven't a clue what the problem is...

Well, i'm going to guess that it's because you are less than diplomatic sometimes. I know that behind the scenes you have caused major upsets around here (i'm not going to tell you who from) and have caused several people to consider leaving. That would be a disaster because these people are the back bone of the site. They are the ones who bring reason to the debate.

Take a long hard read at what you post in future. If you think it's insulting or unreasnoble, don't post it. That isn't difficult to do. A lot of people are capable of doing that. I think you are too.

Before I came back two days ago, I have never made an insulting post that I know of. Don't tell me that behind the scenes bulls##t, if someone has a problem they can damn well be upfront about it or f#$k off, I am not responding to some kind of stupid emotional blackmail, if you want to leave because of me, do so. I am going to be banned soon anyway.

If people post ridiculous insinuations without any facts to back them up, and then cry and run away when they are told that what they are saying is ridiculous, they can bloody well go away if they want. They expect to be given some kind of a medal for coming up with "Ferrari sucks and they cheat because they did ___________" and when they can't bear to see their argument being torn apart they start crying. Too bad.

Ok take your bloody ignore filter off, and take this as a challenge. I will sit out till the last race of this season. Call back m_g, senna, bajo etc. back, and get this forum back to the way it should be before I destroyed it, show me how things would be if I didn't drive everyone away. If I come back and see a flourishing forum, maybe I'll know the error of my ways and change my posting style. Convince me of what I am doing wrong, I cannot convince myself, I cannot possibly fathom it in fact.

Cav, i'm going nowhere and if i did, it wouldn't be because of you, i have other things in my life to get far more upset about. How can you say that you will be banned soon? You are in control of that and it doesn't have to be that way. I'm not making it up about the 'behind the scenes' stuff, believe what you will.

I love Ferrari too. The difference between you and me though is that i won't rise to that sort of crap. I will only respond to the things that are worth responding too. For me, that's discussing F1 as intelligently as i can (not very intelligently sometimes!) and caring about the good guys here getting along.

Stay. It would be dificult to get the others back to prove your argument. Not only that, it's not solely you that has made them people leave, don't be so hard on yourself.

I stand by what i said earlier; if you really study what you write before you post and check that it's not insulting, you'll make massive strides. Check some of the various posts around here. You'll see that certain people are making a big effort to make ammends.

Cav, I've said my piece in the PM I sent you. Stay. Your opinion has value, regardless if it drives me, or others, nuts.

On the other note, I have no control over any poster save myself. I am quite sure Senna and Bajo left because of narain_fan, and probably you as well. I have seen how ecap has been treated by you, so I assume that his possible leaving is also due to you. I am only guessing about monza, but the timing is about right. I hope I'm wrong, as I, and many many others, enjoyed Russ' posts. He still remains the only person to completely shut down an argument with me in two words 'Chris Amon' ;)

Anyway, I am one of those making ammends. We all love Formula 1 and should strive to show respect to each other. Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't, but I guess that's life. My arrogant posts will stop and much of my detailed analysis will also stop (as many object to my conclusions, there's no point in it -_- ). We'll go from there...

Let me be the first to say please don't do that. There are a majority here who enjoy it. Not only that, it's the essence of what you do. You'll end up sounding like me :D

you dont know the kind of coordinated intimidation tactics that Bajo and senna used when i just came here. so i am sure ,if they themselves left it is only because they themselves left.not because of anyone else.

“At the end, though, I made a driver error: just going a bit too wide and touching the grass, which caused me to slam pretty hard into the guardrail.

“My shoulder is a little sore, but otherwise I’m OK.”

just relavent to the topic at hand.last season when narain crashed at the chinesse GP some unnamed trolls

went after him like there is nop tommorow.no mention of Albers's accident yesterday :eusa_think:

and BTW 'puma it is wrong to accuse someone of something they have not done.

i am going on a vacation from tomorrow and possibly wont post for a while.how will you feel if someone accuses you of being the sole reason for my "EXIT"

I say this with 100% certainty that no one in their right mind would ever accuse Mike of driving anyone out. If anyone was driven out it would rather be the other way around.

Now lets stop all this driving out business and get back to the topic at hand shall we?

Player(1) you are absolutely correct. Its seems like Fernando and Doornbos having incidents are omes for terrific races. The more the merrier I say

TBH turn 12 and 14 were the only real overtaking spots. Alonso turned the revs and got in front(you can see the sector times ,sector 2 Schumi is slower, the S1 and s2 alonso is able to dictate the pace at which schumacher runs)

so he had a very powerful horse and TBH the chassi is in no way a snail..not what you would call a "much slower car" .

MS's only opportunity after the safety car incident was to overtake alonso during the second round of stops.he blew it by making a mistake at turn 8.hardly anything to do with the renault car or alonso.

if anyone is to be blamed for schumi losing the title ,it is Schumi and Schumi alone.

The fact that Shumacher set the fastest lap near the end of the race, when he dropped off the back of Alonso, and the fact that Massa dictated the entire race shows that the Ferrari was by far the quickest car. Alonso used awesome defensive driving to keep one of the greatest drivers of all time at bay.

Also, Alonso wasnt using extra revs, its just that in high speed corners worn/blistering tyres dont affect the cars handling much since there is so much downforce been generated from the wings, but in slow corners mechanical grip is required and that was lacking on Alonso's car clearly.
