narain fan 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 The fact that Shumacher set the fastest lap near the end of the race, when he dropped off the back of Alonso, and the fact that Massa dictated the entire race shows that the Ferrari was by far the quickest car. Alonso used awesome defensive driving to keep one of the greatest drivers of all time at bay. Also, Alonso wasnt using extra revs, its just that in high speed corners worn/blistering tyres dont affect the cars handling much since there is so much downforce been generated from the wings, but in slow corners mechanical grip is required and that was lacking on Alonso's car clearly. ironic that you use the word "FACT" at the beginning of the post and deny the "FACT" (highlighted by me.) Schumikonen 2 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 TBH turn 12 and 14 were the only real overtaking spots. Alonso turned the revs and got in front(you can see the sector times ,sector 2 Schumi is slower, the S1 and s2 alonso is able to dictate the pace at which schumacher runs)so he had a very powerful horse and TBH the chassi is in no way a snail..not what you would call a "much slower car" . MS's only opportunity after the safety car incident was to overtake alonso during the second round of stops.he blew it by making a mistake at turn 8.hardly anything to do with the renault car or alonso. if anyone is to be blamed for schumi losing the title ,it is Schumi and Schumi alone. Did you read about the blisters in Schumi's second stint? I don't think a blister is a mistake, and did you read about the fuel load on schumi's car? I don't think a heavy fuel load is another mistake. Did you read what Alonso said about the bleesing in the shape of a safety car? I don't think a SC is another mistake. Did you see or read about Schumi's pace before the SC or in the third stint? What would you be saying at this time if they crash while Schumi was trying to get by, specialy after seing what alonso did in a practice to Dornboos? I know that almost everybody here would be saying that Schumi did it again, but that's the price for being the best, if he overtakes Massa was a team order, If he overtakes Alonso he was suppose to do it, If Alonso don't let him by is a hero just because he did it to MS,. You are spot on of course. Pat Symonds alluded to the fact that FA was altering engine revs throughout the lap and had no problems in keeping MS behind. What was interesting is that FA must have made a mistake in the final corners of the final lap as MS had a run on him that would have led to a pass if there was at least one more lap. 'ifs' huh TBH MS only has himslef to blame if he loses this year's WDC. Hungary's performance was poor and should have netted him at least 5 points - Saturday Quali and the mistake at turn 8 ultimately cost him another 4 points, so instead of being 12 points behind he should be 2 adrift with 4 races to go. Oh well, it aint over till its over and the fat lady sure hasn't cleared her throat just yet. Where there's a will there's a way. Cliches huh

I am an MS fan like yourself, but if you had been following the splits on livetiming you would have seen that MS lost about 5 secs between the 1st and seconds splits. He was pegging the gap to FA to about 3 secs up untill then, after which the gap became 8 secs or so. If you look at how close MS was after the 2nd pit stop it is obvious that the lost 5 secs/mistake cost him the race. Sad but true my friend

narain fan 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 O dear dear... Whatever rocks your boat! i cant argue with a person who doesnt understand the basic thing that if in a fast corner (like t8 in sector2) alonso gets a head start he is faster into the t12 sequence and there is no way MS can overtake him in the best spot t12 and as he is faster in S2 he can dictate the speed in S1 and S3...btw it awas a masterpiece again by whoever(Pat symonds ,ofcourse) decided not to change engine this weekend on alonso's car coz if it would have been his first weekend on the monza spec today,he would have been woefully short of power in the second race at monza as fisi is going to find out (sadly be bashed again by ignorant trolls)
mock 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Yep again. I think a one race ban minimum is warranted. Can we just dock 20 points ? you dont know the kind of coordinated intimidation tactics that Bajo and senna used when i just came here. so i am sure ,if they themselves left it is only because they themselves left.not because of anyone else. I whole heartedly second this. The both of them were and continue to be blights 'pon this forum, in sooth. The amount of racist, uninformed, unsupported, biased quotes* that have been put on this board have led to some of this forums most ugly, useless threads. I for one heaved a sigh of relief when they disappeared. This forum was a nice place after they left. Unfortunately with Banjo's latest post on NK the forum is deteriorating again *To be fair to Senna, most of the crap was from Banjo, though Senna has been racist, which I have proven on this very forum

You understand that! Fully agree. Narain is a nobody couldn't prove himself in his rookie season and couldn't even beat his teamate to a podium at the USA. And I believe finished quite considerably further behind him near the Minardis. Narain fan are you going to support drivers that are actually going to stay in F1 unlike Jacques and Narain? Nico, Mark, Nick and Kubica to name a few.

Player(1) 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Yea, Alonso was adjusting his engine rev's and as usual the brake bias (heard he has it on his wheel instead of on the side like MS and others) he was also smoothly applying throttle out of the corners because of rear tire blistering which was for all to see from live telemetry... and some think Alonso wont be able to adapt to the McLaren
