Happy Birthday Piotr

Recommended Posts

What? Yes! That.

Happy Birthday sir.

It's a short way of wishing a happy birthday in Polish, at least according to some Polish friends of my grandparents. Of course, both my grandparents and their friends are long gone by now, and my memory is pretty fragile. So I wouldn't trust myself on that. Perhaps it has no meaning in Polish, perhaps I wrote it wrong, or perhaps it means something else like: "Your face looks like Ecclestone buttcheeks. And probably smell the same, too"

Happy birthday Mr.P :)

I wish you and Kubica many good things, and while I'm here, I wish myself good things, too.

Ah Happy Birthday Piotr may your birthday presents be as numerous as Kubica's nose hairs :D

Don't make fun of his nose. The guy had to suffer imprisonment for snot-smuggling once. It's not funny!

Thanks, guys!

You are THE BEST!!!!

Yup, I was pretty bummed after waking up at 4:30 am on Sunday only to find out that Kubi was out (really weird problem - pneumatic system??? ) but y'all made me laugh! Even though I'm OLD...

"Sto Lat" means "a hundred years" and it comes from a B Day song (an equivalent to "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" or "Happy Birthday to You"). The song translates roughly into "A hundred years may he live for us" and is sung for the same occasions as "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."

So here is to you, guys!!!

Happy birthday to out fellow Polish-American friend!

Thanks did I mention that my wife is part Irish? Her Mother's family is from Ireland while her grandfatherb was from Poland. She is a proof that it's a great genetic mix!

Happy Birthday my Polish enemy! Hope you have a great day.

Thanks, Oli. But I have to tell you a secret - we Poles love discussions and difference of opinion. In fact the best place for verbal sparring is usually family table. So, a difference of opinion does NOT make us enemies.
