British Prime Minister Gordon Brown paid tribute to Lewis Hamilton's world championship success on Monday when he presented the McLaren driver with a prestigious BRDC Gold Star.

Fresh from winning the International Racing Driver of the Year trophy at the Autosport Awards, Hamilton was the centre of attention at the end-of-season British Racing Drivers' Club Awards ceremony at Silverstone.

And on top of earning two BRDC Gold Stars, Hamilton was handed one of them - the Richard Seaman Trophy

Neither did Kimi. In fact I can't remember the last time the WDC was a big deal after the last race. Maybe Villeneuve?
